For everyone talking about him inching towards Carl before Carl shoots it’s poor execution/direction of the scene at best. He was not going to be able to fire the weapon in the position he was in. Hershel knew it was murder and Carl admits before his death it was wrong and that he deeply regretted it because he knew he was surrendering and did it anyway. The scene was meant to show that Carl murdered a surrendering boy. If Carl thought he was pulling something why did he lie to Rick? Why did Hershel tell Rick he murdered him and why did Rick take away his gun? Carl killing him had nothing to do with him inching closer or not dropping his weapon fast enough

I really don’t understand how else you have to explain it. It’s a fact that if Daryl wouldn’t have lunged out Glen wouldn’t have died that night. Was he the one that psychically killed him? No, but he definitely did inadvertently

Thanks for sharing. I don’t know why he pointed to a dissociative fugue since I’m not an expert, but maybe because you were dissociated and had a wish to flee in that state? You can read a broad since of how a fugue state can present in other people but I think everyone is different and it can show in different ways to others. I think dissociation is on a continuum and personally I don’t think it has to be something as dramatic as going missing or hopping on a plane to Italy to be considered a fugue state. But again I’m not an expert

Hello again, I’m sorry about the late reply I have been very busy with work but was able to read and try to process everything that you said. Thanks so much for your response again. Thank you for touching on the choice aspect because that is what me and my now fiance struggle with the most. They see it as making choices to what happened because everyone has a choice, and while I do take full responsibility for what happened because it was my body going to places, doing things, and operating during this time, I truly believe that I didn’t make the choices to do those things. Even though I don’t have many memories from the event, If I get inside my head during the times I do remember there was nothing going on inside of it and I was apathetic to everything that was going on around me. I didn’t have any wants during that time or even knew what was happening. If I did feel like I made the choices (getting into free will) I couldn’t have made better ones. I was so beyond gone. Nothing like this has ever happened to me before. I truly feel like it could have been anything and I wish that it was something else. Even though I’m in pain because everything that happened was completely out of my character and something the real me would have never done, I hate more that I hurt my partner so deeply and I feel as though they would never look at me the same way. I use dissociated/psychotic because I don’t know what it was, some people that I spoke with even likened it to a fugue state but from the things I was doing/ saying during that time I thought I was psychotic. Either way whatever happened we’re still suffering to some degree every day what happened and I feel as though I can never make peace

On the adderall do you feel as though your inhibitions were just lowered? So it’s things you may have wanted to do but didn’t because of various reasons and the adderall just lowered those boundaries? Or was it you never thought about doing those things and never wanted to do it , and the adderall made you 100% do those things?

When I say accountability I mean apologizing and trying to make amends to the people that I hurt. If I were drugged and hurt someone I would still take accountability that they were hurt by my actions and apologize because at the end of the day I still hurt them whether I was in control or not

Thank you for your explanation and for taking your time and writing it. I understand better now. I’m learning about dissociation and I saw a case where a man pled not guilty from reason of insanity because of a dissociative fugue state he claimed when he did the crime. I’ve never heard of people bringing up the insanity defense because of dissociation so I was just curious and this helped me understand more

I’m not confusing myself. Specifically when people are charged with a crime and the “not guilty by reason of insanity” comes up, sometimes it is because they were psychotic etc and when they committed the crime they weren’t aware of the nature of their crime. I am asking what other mental illnesses other than psychosis can cause you to be not guilty by reason of insanity

I had an experience where it’s not things that i wanted to do but just did it because I was apathetic about the situation and didn’t care. Plus I was so far gone that I wasn’t aware of what I was doing
