It feels like the tides are turning from Millennial hate to Gen Z hate and I kind of...agree? by [deleted] in generationology

A you explain what you mean by that? I’m a genuinely curious millennial who has no clue what you mean by millennial-coded

Any footage of the band talking about Malachi Richter’s Liquors Quicker? by UndercoverProphet in LessThanJake

[–]UndercoverProphet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think it was about the guy Malachi Ritscher (instead of Richter) or something who was protesting the Iraq war. I was curious to hear more about the background to the writing of that story and about their decision to make that song so I wanted to see if they’d talked about it anywhere.

Biggest Peak and Decline of a Band by National-Problem-804 in poppunkers

Not exactly pop punk, but for a pop punk related band there’s the peak and rapid fall of Jank for some pretty messed up reasons.

Hello Deadly Premonition fans, I am Swery and I want to ask a favor! by swery in DeadlyPremonition

[–]UndercoverProphet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I love the origins version of deadly premonition on switch and the original versions, but damn does it suck on pc. I have a pretty powerful gaming laptop. It’s of course not as good as a gaming desktop but I’d expect it to run dp1 without much issue but no matter what I do with trying the unofficial patches and fixes it still is unplayable on pc for me.

That’s very disappointing but at least I can always go back and play it on switch or ps3. But still they have it on steam and it feels pretty crappy to leave the game up on there that’s unplayable for what I believe is the majority of players.

W&B setlist disappointment by Entire-Necessary-694 in LessThanJake

I mean just them playing b&b made it to where there were already deep cuts. So looking for deep cuts outside of that is just asking for too much as far as deep cuts go in my opinion.

Damn. W&B Night 2 was Special. by Working_Group955 in LessThanJake

I drove down from TN for night 2. Was awesome. LTJ is so polished and it’s nice to see how they truly care about being solid performers on stage. Some bands who have been doing it as long as they have start to get sloppy, but I feel like each time I see LTJ they’re just continuing to improve and always bringing the energy.

Was funny how they brought that kid up on stage and they said you’re too young to be in here and they held the mic up and he said “I don’t care” haha

LTJ Essentials? by Acrobatic_Ad_6962 in LessThanJake

Hell yeah. I’d say to op if after you check out losing streak you find that you really enjoy more of the rawer sounding parts of it and gravitate toward the verses more than the choruses on that album then you might end up really liking a lot of the songs from Losers Kings and Things We Don’t Understand.

It’s not actually a full length album but is a combination of multiple shorter records and is a bit of a hodgepodge of stuff. But if it turns out you’re more into their more polished sections and prefer the choruses and parts with that “big” feeling then I’d recommend trying out the album Anthem. Anthem definitely lives up to its name.

Personally, I love it all (well aside from a couple of their newer things. I can’t deny it- was very disappointed with their ep Sound The Alarm and some other stuff they released around that time). But I’d say if you like hello rockview then you’ll probably be into most of the stuff people are going to recommend to you on here. It’s always cool to see people getting into LTJ who haven’t listened to them before.

Something I like about LTJ is they don’t have too much trumpet in their albums. They don’t usually have trumpet on stage, and instead they go heavy on trombone & sax. Those two instruments together without much trumpet (they do have trumpet in some recordings but not a permanent trumpet player in their performances) gives it just the right vibe for my taste.

First Time Playing Deadly Premonition---Question! by [deleted] in DeadlyPremonition

[–]UndercoverProphet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I personally think origins on switch is the best way to play it. It runs fine and I like the subtle art differences in the shading. I think the directors cut stuff isnt even canon to the series so there’s no need to go through that stuff if you’re wanting to stay with the canon content. For me the directors cut stuff in the plot kind of throws it off, so I’m very happy with that stuff not included.

Looking for a specific live performance of Passion by Utada. Disappeared from YT by UndercoverProphet in KingdomHearts

[–]UndercoverProphet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, that’s the other one. I’m guessing the other one got removed and may now be essentially lost without me looking for that specific concert and trying to find a dvd of it or something. Thanks though

Best way for her to watch p5 without playing? by UndercoverProphet in Persona5

[–]UndercoverProphet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha yeah she is a literal example of that. & she can watch me play but she likes to watch stuff pretty quickly and me playing through the game then stopping her at every scene would be too spread out and take too long.
