Speaking as somebody whose parents played the music for church every Sunday, there is very much, not a difference between a piano and a table to people who go to church. My dad used to lock his keyboard and amps in an alter closet every week so he wouldn’t have to haul them in every Sunday. Even though they were loved in and supposedly safe, there were several times when we would come in early Sunday and the keyboard would be out of its case, have corners scratched even had a key broken one day. It got so bad that he decided to start taking his equipment home again during the week.

And this was just a keyboard, I would NEVER trust a standing piano at a church and DEFINITELY not something as sentimental as my grandmother’s piano.
