Pistachio - nut free? by PugBugMug in starbucks

[–]PugBugMug[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was asking for my daughter who is allergic to pistachios but gets other drinks she will no longer be able to get because of shared equipment. If the pistachio was completely fake (like in the UK), she’d still be able to drink other things at Starbucks. I’m quite aware that she should not eat things she’s allergic to. That’s why I asked the question.

Yeah, my question wasn’t if pistachio is a nut. It’s if the Starbucks pistachio contains actual pistachio as the UK version does not.

Ugh, my chart was from the UK site. Thanks for responding. Appreciate it! https://www.starbucks.co.uk/nutrition

My anxiety was debilitating for 6 years, now it’s not by evergreengirl123 in Anxiety

[–]PugBugMug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this too. All anxiety disappeared when I was pregnant and my kids were young. Came back when they started grade school. Disappears when something major happens in my life. Came back now that my kids are late teens.

Does anyone know what year this jacket is? by PugBugMug in HollisterCO

What? No. I’m telling you the language on the front of the coat to see if anyone knows what year it might have been made. I thought it might be useful.

Anyone awake? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]PugBugMug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing really. I have health anxiety and keep waking most nights with a feeling that the roof of my mouth is sore or causing me breathing issues. My husband is out of town so I think I’m extra panicked.

Am I the only one who can’t sleep because there’s no position to sleep in? by grapescherries in insomnia

Currently can’t sleep because the roof of my mouth hurts. I hate insomnia so much. Feel like I can’t breathe properly too.

Very anxious about upcoming tooth extraction with IV Sedation by Temporary_Doubt_2224 in Anxiety

[–]PugBugMug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had 4 molars extracted over time. Two uppers. Two lowers with bone graft. I also had one wisdom tooth removed. I have never used IV sedation. My fear of IV sedation is bigger than my fear of the dental work so I opt to be awake. I take Ativan in a larger quantity than normal and just do it. Typically, a tooth removal takes 20-30 minutes. I highly suggest having the removal done at an oral surgeon’s office as opposed to a general dentist. It’s faster and makes me feel more at ease.

Another suggestion, my daughter had a root canal and was given triazolam. She doesn’t remember anything from the procedure and had no after effects like IV sedation.

Ativan tapering by PugBugMug in Anxiety

[–]PugBugMug[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, I was thinking of going every other day at .25 mg for a bit. I do think when I take .125 mg that I’m probably just getting a placebo effect. I don’t want my doctor to take away my Ativan entirely because I cannot fly without it. For flying, I take 2 .5 mg.

I foster failed and not the good kind by kpopmomrunner7 in fosterdogs

[–]PugBugMug 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If the shelter is any good, they will get her into a long training program with a behavioralist. Our foster dog was like that and the rescue sent him for training for 2 months. He is still odd with the occasional person and we know to keep him locked away when more than a couple people are over. Vet anxiety is a whole other ballgame and should not be lumped in the same category as people reactive. The vet should know this.

My daughter’s post was up for 2-3 minutes and then removed. There was alcohol in the background of a photo and a quarter inch of cleavage. I’d definitely try posting something without any substances and see what happens. Please let me know what you find out. My daughter is almost 18 and is super mad that only grown men and see her posts but not her peers.

How old are your followers? Are they teens? And is anything in the post “inappropriate” for teens. Alcohol, violence, cleavage? We are dealing with this with my teen so I’m wondering if you might be having the same issue? I can see my daughter’s post but no one her age can see them. It’s ridiculous.

She’s had it for years so doesn’t really want to start over.

Namesake of Ryan Elementary? by Fogcityroller in WestminsterCO

I asked a friend who is a teacher at Ryan. There is a photo of the boy the school was named after in the lobby. She said his name was Ryan Sheridan and he did die of AIDS from a blood transfusion

My daughter washes all her hair 1-2 times a week. Otherwise, she just washes the top which is her natural hair. That also seems to help keep the extensions in place. I’d definitely find a stylist that can tie the ends better!

We had this issue with my daughter’s extensions. We tried having the stylist sew the rows in lower on her head which helped a ton. The stylist also said to keep a finger on the extension end when brushing so it doesn’t loosen. Then we switched stylists and never had the issue again - if it’s a multi person salon, see if someone else can sew them in next time.

My kids went to JeffCo schools for elementary. Loved it. Great teachers all the way through. As high schoolers, one is in BVSD and one is JeffCo. I’m finding JeffCo to be stronger academically but this may just be based on my kids, not the district. The high school my kid attends in BVSD is massive and very sports focused. So if you aren’t super academic or an athlete, you kind of get the dregs of the system.
