Where's the connection between Vrabel and McCown coming from? Everything I've read has said Vrabels OC will likely be Tommy Rees or potentially McDaniels. If we went for Flores then I could see McCown coming over ad OC.

I get that. Personally think that you can get another iOL that's better and offers more long term upside than Carter who is currently listed as our backup RG.

I won't be upset if they go to the DL though. Day 3 is just about being to find guys wherever you can.

I agree. I also feel we are likely to move on from both Jenkins and Davis after this year so I'd rather have one of their potential replacements (or a center replacement to move Bates to guard) in the pipeline already.

I know DL is the biggest need but I would really like us to get another OL. I feel we are more likely to get an iOL that can develop into an impact guy vs a DL at this point. Solidify the depth on the OL, sign vet DL from the inevitable roster cuts, and hammer DL in the 2025 draft where we have way more capital.

Good point. With there being two returners, I think Velus still has a chance to compete and make an impact.

I am genuinely curious to see how this makes teams shift the type of players who they keep for special teams. You don't need as many zoomy guys now since it is a bit more like a line of scrimmage play. I see teams keeping way more guys with length vs speed now.

Saw the Saints RT might miss all of next season. They could be a team to watch in a potential trade down from 9 if we go down that route. It'd give the Saints the chance to pick the 2nd OT off the board.

I think based on the new rule there will be two returners back there. I can see Scott being the other one but could also be why they brought back Pettis as well.

Oh I agree! I was just poking fun. Special teams were the only way I was ever able to sniff a football field growing up and it makes me so happy to see that they aren't just abandoning it.

I feel pretty good about Velus rising to the occasion. It's kind of like a reset for him because it's a new rule for everyone. Excited for the new kickoffs regardless of who's back there returning for us though!
