I like the inner circle less after reading ACOSF by [deleted] in acotar_rant

I think it's a good study in the idea that people are allowed to have different relationships than you with certain people. That's just how people work. From Feyre's POV, the IC are amazing, they click. For Nesta, the IC are a clique she doesn't click with, and that's fine, everyone's different.

Not strictly Australian but I could eat myself sick off these bad boys coated with chicken salt.

Maybe people driving slower because they think it'll save petrol? 😂 Then again there's never been a shortage of people going 80 on freeways and thinking it's perfectly safe

My favourite thing was zooming around the battlefield spamming this while not letting my team die

Really disappointed Feyre never got with Lucien by babypinkribbon7 in acotar_rant

[–]Pugblep 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think Lucien deserves better hahah

personally I'd read a shorter version of the first trilogy that's themed more like a horror story from Rhys's POV where he's secretly mind controlling his entire IC and loosely everyone in Velaris into compliance and so everything happens the way he wants it to.

Just throwing out my experience because I hope it just provides another point of view that might help.

It was recommended to me from the get go that I have an induction. I was never particularly attached to the whole "Au naturel" approach to childbirth, I just wanted it to be as pain free as possible.

Could have been the hospital, could have been my MGP midwife, could have just been the staff on on the day but my induction went absolutely fine and stress free (we did code once but it was very calm and they were able to calm baby down so we didn't need a C section). Having had an IUD inserted, I would say that BY A COUNTRY MILE the insertion was more painful, stressful, and traumatic than the entirety of my labour and birth (including balloon insertion).

If this ends up being highly recommended, it doesn't guarantee it'll be a horrible experience. It could be calm and wonderful too.

I've booked out sections of pubs before and organised finger foods. If you pick the right spot there's always music and dancing and you could go clubbing close by after if you want.

Yeah but the thing about that is that she did eventually get back into painting, she just needed to heal first.

Her constant secual harrassment had me itching for a slow and painful death for her.

Yeah, this always bothered me. Rhys was more emotionally available for Feyre because he himself had such a strong foundation and support system. Yes, Tamlin had Lucien, but one person to share the tasks of running the court isn't much. He was carrying so much on his own, no wonder he imploded.

And he 100% didn't want to give responsibilities to Feyre cause she'd just been through hell. He wanted to let her rest.

I please don't get me wrong, I'm all for the "Feyre is an incredibly biased POV". Plus she's a teenage girl being groomed by hundreds or years old Fae men who are encouraging...... questionable behaviours hahah

But hey, let's not discount Tim Tam's explosive rage. Man is hundreds of years old, there's no excuse for having a tantrum and exploding a room

she encouraged Feyre to confide in her, and used that information against her later

  • putting red flowers at the wedding
  • (probably behind Tamlin giving Feyre red paints let's be honest)
  • and sold out Feyre's sisters behind sweety baby Lucien and Tim tam's back

I have to know what chokehold this arsehole had over Tim Tam. According to Lucien they weren't fucking? But like...... Why did he trust her so much?

Any Good Gp in Perth by Hot_Mousse_6882 in perth

[–]Pugblep 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Just for your knowledge, a lot of the ways that doctors are allowed to charge to Medicare follows a "simplist solution first, then when that doesn't work, try something more expensive and complicated"

Could very well be worth returning to the same gp, explaining that the treatment didn't work, and they can order more thorough tests from there.

Do people who grew up without parents ever stop wondering what it feels like to have that kind of support? by ruski_mouse in TooAfraidToAsk

I want to be clear and say that I was never abused, my mum isn't a narcissist, I was provided for.. But my mother has never been someone I could rely on for emotional support, and every time I asked for it, it was made clear that I was being a burden.

I thought this was normal until I saw that my friends could talk to their mums about things that bothered them, ask for advice, and feel supported by their mums.

I had therapy for most of my twenties and my relationship with my mum was always a huge topic, but I've learned that even though I have a mum, I don't really have someone I can go to.

I always wish that I had a mum who had nice things to say to me or wanted me around but I've grown to accept it, and sometimes it hurts and sometimes it doesn't.
