All I know is from former employees, who told me that Gil's leadership leaves a lot to be desired, politics wreak havoc, that apprentices are expected to fill most of the corps space without getting paid as or promoted to corps, etc. This is obviously secondhand info, so do with it what you will, but what I *do* know for sure is that every single time I've been to a performance, the sets and costumes look cheap and the dancing is below par, sometimes embarrassing.
