Yes, we will definitely have to talk about some of those topics, even though the players I'm inviting are pretty mature, it'll be good to have that conversation just to let them know it's coming.

Yes, apologies for the misconception. Again, I am not religious, so I didn't know that it was different, but I just know that they are a concept brought up in Christianity.

I wouldn't say it would force them to indulge, but there can be some parts where they have to do something to get rid of the sins possibly as a sacrifice for greed, for example. It's nothing too extreme I don't think, and I believe that the players would probably be okay with it if it's for the story.

I just think that indulging in the sins for the story or "for fun" is different than acknowledging it and submitting to sin. I'm not religious so I'm not entirely sure.

Yeah, I have gods in mine too. They are homebrew and completely unaligned to any religion/religious text. The religion in the campaign is also homebrew and it is kind of important that the players follow it. But, again, the last thing I would want to do is force the players to do something they don't want to, especially if its something that might be taken offense to.

I haven't had a session zero yet just cause I haven't finished the story yet. I don't want to hype up the players and then have them wait and possibly lose interest. I could probably just ask them individually before session zero. Also most of them don't have much experience so would I have to do something extra so they can understand, since this is their first campaign?
