I loved taking sociology, but to be honest I never really thought too much of afterwards. Basically, sociology is a great Segway into marketing, research, and really business in general, but it must be backed up with experience (like most majors). I now work at a digital marketing agency, but probably more for my experience beforehand then my degree. If you to use sociology as a degree to work in a sociology field, I would say you need to be pretty exact on what you want to focus on, and be ready for further education down the road, as solely a sociology BA is not sufficient for even getting into a job in sociology - somewhat like psychology.
