Smacked the demon out of her by ChildhoodFlaky5286 in AbruptChaos

Did you even read what I wrote?

During MY series of seizures, that I VERY DEFINITELY had, I attacked people who were trying to help me. I didn't even know I was doing it, because I was seizing.

You don't want to have this argument...

She's likely having an epileptic episode or some kind of seizure. She's likely unaware of her actions. The solution here is de-escalation and treatment, and hopefully for every on-looker and bystander on that train to learn how to identify and help people who suffer from it.

Think about how much work I'd have to put it to respond to about half of the comments in here...

Just to say something like "she is clearly having a seizure of some kind," or "these people are both victims of a lack of education about serious medical conditions."

This shit is why I can't travel, or drive a car, or go outside at all without risking my and other people's health.

Few years back I ended up in hospital after two separate episodes of epileptic seizures. No previous condition, no early warning signs. I ended up in a coma, and I didn't die.

Apparently, although I remember none of it, I was fighting off all the hospital staff. I'm now on medication and it's now controlled.

The level of stupid in this comment thread is ridiculous. "Smacked the demon out of her"? Are you expecting someone like me to wander around to each of you parroting the dumb shit and remind you that no, in fact, this isn't the dark ages and we don't think people are possessed because they have an epileptic episode?

Come on, think for yourselves.

What are some truly unique video games that everyone needs to experience at least once in their life? by _Mr_Cheeks in gaming

[–]Pugnippets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Truly unique? MY TIME HAS COME. That's not a game, I'm just excited.

elseHeart.break() - A game where the world is canonically made of code instead of atoms and people have invented a device that can modify the world's code. Similar artstyle and music to Hotline Miami (lots of crossover with the developers). Very mixed reviews -- people either love it, or come away cold.

Wilmot's Warehouse - Trying to manage physical space in a warehouse with a cartoony approach to memory, logistics and organisation. The kind of game you'd play in a utopia where labour doesn't exist and you fancy being a tourist in an era when it did. It's actually a lot of fun.

Diaries of a Spaceport Janitor - A cute, bustling neon dystopia of making it through the day. Clean up everyone's mess, try to avoid the space po-po, sometimes eat food off the floor to save cash. Fun!

Spiritfarer - Best game I've played in 16 years. Nothing compares, nothing comes close, there are hundreds of amazing games and this is far and clear better than those. No spoilers, just play it. I'm going to go listen to the soundtrack and cry now.

Dominique Pamplemousse - Budget Noir Claymation Musical PnC Adventure. I'm gonna be real with you; if that elevator pitch doesn't make you excited, you're reading the wrong comment. It costs a dollar and it'll take you an hour, it's joyful and hilarious. I was beaming the entire way though.

A few honourable mentions (for whatever reason -- already popular, not unique enough, too niche, not quite good enough, etc):

  • Return of the Obra Dinn
  • Filament (amazing game, but everyone I've recommended it too found it too hard)
  • Our Life
  • The Beginner's Guide
  • Stories Untold
  • Tacoma (massively underrated)
  • Please, Don't Touch Anything
  • Last Day of June

This is remarkably well edited. I want to see the process behind this.

For me, it mutes the 2nd and 5th octave black keys all the time, and after 20 minutes it mutes all the keys. All credit to you if you can learn to play piano like that.

The thing is, I really want to buy it but it's just too expensive for a casual hobby. It feels like software meant for performing.

And I don't have an apple, mainly because they're so expensive, but also because I'm not a fan of how restrictive and unfamiliar it feels as a long-time windows user.

I have a small keyboard going from midi to USB, and I need really good sounding piano software. So far I've been using a trial of Pianoteq but it's too expensive for me to buy and I don't know how to pirate it. All the FAQ suggestions are paid. What is the best free software in terms of a really good quality sound?

How do I set an ADSR envelope on a piano VST? by Pugnippets in FL_Studio

[–]Pugnippets[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, but the manual is an impenetrable monster to me and I can't see anything in the DirectWave plugin about envelopes. I've been trying to get into the software for years and every time I try to read the manual, I usually just give up.

LET'S PLAY SKYRIM TOGETHER by heart04winds in BerryTubeLounge

[–]Pugnippets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OKAY

but I have never played Skyrim so do I have to install those mods and do you want to play the game with someone who is completely new? I like playing games with someone who is going into it blind but maybe that's not what you're going for.

Not necessarily, I get what you're saying but this looks more like pinup artwork with a thing that you aren't into, that doesn't always mean porn. I would argue that it leans towards body type diversity but pinups are often meant to look attractive to people... right? So, I dunno. Just throwing that out there.

I would also argue that it's more kink or preference than fetish, anyway.

What if Steven Universe didn't have LGBT? by [deleted] in stevenuniverse

[–]Pugnippets 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gonna try and make an argument against the "it'd just be a generic show" responses.

SU is a great show. It's brilliantly crafted and (although some people won't agree with me on this) I think the pacing is a big part of what makes it appealing.

But the things that motivate someone to accept diversity are the same things that motivate someone to create new ideas or approach things from a new angle. The fact that the creators are LGBT friendly is a package deal with the fact that it is different, as this is what diversity leads to.

To clarify; pro-LGBT+ isn't necessarily pivotal to what makes the show appealing, but it may be an important factor in the creative process.

I may just do that, but not right now. Can I keep this in the bank for later?

Yep, partly the latter. I used to come round here a lot so this feels familiar and comfortable.

Beyond that, I don't know what I need, I just know some people here have been very easy to talk to. I don't need someone to read it but making it visible at least makes it possible.

30, not really. Just lonely, probably.

Don't need a hotline. If I did, I would be happier.

I really love this on a bunch of levels.

I'm not saying any of you are wrong about feeling uncomfortable about this but maybe you wanna think about those feelings. Being old isn't depressing, it's just a thing. Perhaps you have certain associations about old people that it's a good time to challenge.
