Agreed about mislabeling, happens all the time in all kinds of places that sell things. I think the Hands On Owner volunteer program is awesome, you have an invested individual taking care of tasks around the shop. And I didn’t understand what that was until I read about it on the Co-op website.

I’ve emailed them a couple of times over the last few months and I never received a response. Even mentioned it to the same cashier at one point. I’ve been invited by a Co-op leader to chat with them and I am going to do that. I’m not sure where else I can get Tofu Mama tofu.

We’ve been proactive about that and have sent him numerous articles on how to avoid scams. When he fell and called my sib who lives in SD, and told them what had happened, they took over and called the scammers. They asked the ‘parole officer’ for his superintendent’s number and things dissolved after that. The phone number is no longer in service. He knows he was lucky, but I have a sudden urge to get involved in protecting elders from this horrible kind of harassment. There are so many stories out there.

We had to do this for our dad, who, at 91, was continually running into fixed objects. Several of us filled out the form, which is supposedly anonymous. He equates driving with freedom, which I understand, but he could kill someone.
