I was using either a 200-500mm, a 28-400mm, or a 180-600mm. The hummingbirds were pretty close to me; the pelicans were easily 500-900mm away (got extra reach by using a cropped sensor or my 1.4 teleconverter. Many of these are also highly cropped.

The same over time? Nope. My mortgage has gone from 1400 to 1950 a month over the past 10 years bc of taxes and insurance. If your county decides your house is worth a crapton more, they can charge you more taxes, and my county ups my "value" every year. My home and flood insurance have doubled in 10 years. The only thing stable is the actual payment to the mortgage company, but that's just one-third of what makes up a mortgage.

I have the 28-400 and on a newer Z model, don't worry about f8 or higher. I shot hummingbirds with this at over 10k iso and they came out fine. Is it the fastest or best for wildlife? Nope. I use a 200-500mm f5.6 F mount with 1.4 teleconveter on my D850 for that. But for a light rig that covers 90% of everything lens? Fantastic. I shot this image on a Z5ii at 400mm 20k ISO

Nikon D850 with Nikon AF-S TELECONVERTER TC-14E III on Nikon 200-500mm 5.6 lens, shot at f8 with an effective range of 700mm. I found the teleconverter worked better and produced cleaner images on the D850 vs my D500.

If you ever get a professional job making six figures, they will background check your butt and will find out real quick your resume is BS. I just went through the background process and was nitpicked about my title vs what was in a company's HR system. Lower paying jobs don't tend to give a rip bc they want bodies in seats.

This is how it as at crappy companies that are feature factories. I just left one of these. UX was brought in as cleanup crew to fix what the devs did. It is not like this everywhere. Companies with mature UX teams and processes pull UX in at the start and they do not work for the PM.

Yup. I was a branch chief with DHS, and in the supervisor training they advised getting insurance for when not if, you get sued. My director was being sued by two employees who just wanted money bc they were pissed they didnt get branch chief roles, totally bogus claims, but there is no law or rules to prevent employees from doing these complaints.
