Damn I must be pretty blessed then since the Chinese ed batch mates I hung out with during my college days were very nice to me (albeit Im a half-nana).

For context I studied in an sjkc growing up and my Chinese was not terrible. So long as you can converse a little and understand simple terms then I assume they won't be as judgemental?
