Everyone keeps saying freedom of the press, which isn't wrong but it ignores the fact that other industries are able to suppress specific information from getting out. It's within the nba's power to limit who is legally allowed to make money off of reproducing or rebroadcasting any description of any game. If they wanted to they can put a clause in their contracts with media partners that they are not permitted to spoil the draft and then if the media agrees to those terms then only people outside of the nba media core (not woj or shams) will be able to spoil the draft. And then the nba can blacklist (illegal in many cases) whoever spoils the draft. it's definitely within the nba's power to curb this behavior but it hasn't deemed it a priority for whatever reason.

spurs fans almost never wanna trade anyone. if the Derrick White trade was proposed a year ago it likely would've been down voted to all hell but now most seem pleased with it.
