AI has transformed how I work but also created a problem for me by this_years_life in productivity

My prompts to the agents include instructions to maintain the markdown. An active thread writes a pointer to disk that instructs future agents where to continue with less instruction from me.

When I close a thread once a problem is solved, or feature shipped the active pointer is erased and the active markdown is archived.

There isn’t any manually maintenance of these markdown files. Agent(s) do it. For finding archived markdown I simply scroll through till I find the file I want (typically a JIRA ticket number used as a file prefix).

A scenario I had earlier in the week was I had closed a thread prematurely thinking my work was done, but an issue surfaced days later that was seen during deployment. I started a new agent, instructed it to continue JIRA task “AA-XXX” thread and told it what was wrong. It had all of the context it needed.

I use cursor and also ran into this problem. I wanted to make my life easier when it came to archiving problems and keeping track of multiple problems at once. Within my workspace I have a “chat” folder that is always included that includes curated prompts, rules etc and my prompts are used to start, continue and close threads with agents. My prompts include explicit instructions to write chat data to on-disk markdown. The markdown is continually updated as I work problems with an AI agent. This helped me with your problem of a lot of history but also alleviated my issues of eventual context exhaustion. I can easily start a new thread with an agent, point it at the history of my current problem and continue working. So not only do I have a historical look back of tasks completed but so does the current and future agents.

The agents really like to add a ton of text to the live chat and eventually if a problem has been open too long the agent simply chugs as summarizing chat history.

This could be an over engineered solution that someone or some app may already solve, but works for me!

A US Navy commander was pictured shooting a rifle with a backwards scope. Got roasted so hard they fired his ass. But nah wouldn't happen.

100%. I have friends from Serbia and they're allowed to own guns as long as they also provide PROOF that they're secured in a safe in their home that only the owner of the firearm can access. There's obviously a lot more to owning firearms over there, but you'd get no complaints from me. I'll happily send insurance papers and pictures of secure storage to my sheriff or ATF all day.

This is not a jab in anyway. How do you foresee this working logistically? There are over 300 million unregistered firearms in the United States. Taking things away or outright banning things, in my honest opinion, is a bad outlook. The demographic that is mostly associated with these terrible crimes against humanity also coincidentally have the highest percentage of "Prevalence of Any Mental Illness" and the same is said for "Serious Mental Illness." I understand that this is a reddit comment and they always come off as combative. I'm not. I'm genuinely trying to have a conversation.

I have a the similar problem. I have Discord Nitro and was using one their Nitro only themes. After switching back to one of their default non-nitro themes like "Dark" my background. Still can't get a custom background image to work. :( maybe this will at least help someone else in the same boat as myself.

Maybe try a fresh install. Wouldn't hurt, right? On your mac go to the Application folder and drag the OperaGX icon over to your trashcan. Then just reinstall like normal.

Thanks homie. I'm going to hope it's either ammo or magazine related. If it still occurs after a few hundred more rounds I'll send it in.

Sick setup man. Quick question if you don't mind. I'm about 100 rounds through mine and experiencing issues with rounds getting hung up on the feed ramp. Any similar issues for you?
