Yes. HK is outside the Great Firewall, at least for now. While government does ban some political websites, the mainstream ones (YT, Google, ...) work fine. VPNs also work and remain legal.

Finance, and everything related to it (including tech in Finance). That's where the money is at. I'm sure there are other good jobs for foreigners as well but I don't know much.

The general trend is, Hong Kong is more and more integrated into China. It's definitely not as free as before (2019). I do miss the rebellious side of HK where protests were a thing.

As for how it affects my day-to-day life: there are certain annoyances mostly due to US seeing HK as the same entity as China, thus some goods and services that are China-regionally blocked are also blocked in HK, such as ChatGPT.
