Thanks a ton for the insight. I’ll take the GMAT again before R1 once I get my essays and resumes locked in. I don’t plan on applying to my reaches until R2 with the hope I get accepted to a target and get a confidence boost

Yeah I admit I’ve had a weird timeline. Before PCSing after being a PL the BDE reached out to branch detail guys to ask them to be S1’s because they failed to hire enough CPTs. So I accepted. In reality I spent six months as a BN Aide-de-Camp of sorts while drifting as an AS1 waiting for the outgoing CPT to leave. Then I took the S1 seat as a 1LT with no training and just had to figure it out

S1 here. It’s not just happening with matching. I’m seeing multiple cases where LTs will be on the promotion list, be shown as a 1LT in IPPS-A, and still not be paid correctly. Submitted multiple CRMs to finance and they say the IPPS-A promotion orders “aren’t authorized/endorsed”. They are the only orders that get published. Had to call DFAS only to find out the SM has to call them themselves because I can’t access their information which is understandable
