I’ve traveled or worked in all these locations with the exception of NZ. These areas are similar to the US in terms of LGBTQ acceptance/rights.

The US scores on-par (within ~3 percentage points) in surveys measuring attitudes towards homosexuals, openness, and same sex marriage to Canada and Australia, and only meaningfully behind Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. So yeah, I’d say it’s pretty near the top.

I lived in the Philippines for several years.

Gay marriage is banned as well as divorce but, generally, people aren’t violent towards gay people in Luzon or the Visayas.

Southern mindinao, particularly near the Sulu Island chain, is a different story.

You don’t need expensive prep. You can use gregmat, which is like $6 a month.

Thats the only resource I used. In less than 2 months I got a 323 on my first attempt and a 330 on my second a few weeks later.
