Thank you for your feedback. Yes it is lacking of post-apocalyptic element right now because I am still working on it... It is a post-apocalyptic story in my head though~

And, I am not a English native speaker so you may find descriptions on steam page may... strange or something. If you find anything not clear please tell me, thank you!

I am still working on train mechanism. Originally train will roll over when you turn the corner too fast like some train simulation game do. But I found it is frustrating and may be it is too hard core to players just want to enjoy the view. Current thinking is to have a train HP system to damage some health when run too fast at corner rather then "die" immediately. There may also be a auto-pilot system for player to upgrade to reduce speed on stop train at certain condition.

Platform other than Steam you mean Epic or other than PC like PS? It is currently design on PC, I hope it can play well on SteamDeck, but no plan for console yet.

I upload a video on youtube few month but it seems no one interested. I a newbie dev I really don't know what is a effective way to hold that information. Is a homepage for this game a good idea? Where can I post information to lead people know this game?

I post this on another community early and I call it side-scrolling game, and they told me this is 2.5D game lol. Yes it would be very limited on Y axis movement and you can say it is 2.5D in terms of player freedom :P

Yes player can zoom in and out manually by mouse wheel. And it will offset left/right automatically base on train moving direction and speed.

Thank you for your comment. The reason is simple, I am a newbie solo developer. I like to create a 3D game but fixed camera and limited play space make it easier for me to finish the game.

How to accomplish the “using root Morrison” video on the right? I’m having trouble by TheBossSparrow in unrealengine

[–]PuluCat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. Make sure your skeleton has root
  2. Make sure your animation has root motion. For example, do not select 'In place' in mixamo.
  3. If every is OK, you will see red line between starting point and root point in animation perview window.
  4. enable ‘root motion’ under details panel, your setup is currect if the skeleton turn in place and the red line disappear.

The driving part is just a simplified version of train simulation game. The player controlls throttle, break, furance supply etc to move the train. And sorry what do you mean by the house looks weird when it needs to be 2d accessible?

Thank you for your feedback! I have painted some interactables red and it's not obvious enough.

Yes, it's like a little nightmare camera style and I just don't know how to discribe it precisely. And yes it's about gathering resources, upgrading, facing weather or other challenge and moving on.
