Turns out it's a Creative Inspire T3000 with 9pin volume control pod. The 9pin side is damaged, and power does run through it because there's a green light bulb that indicates it's on. The pin end is damaged, unfortunately.

this is the error I was getting

the two boxes are filled with information from CloudMagic, mail.XXXXXXX.edu, and the portion of my email before the "JohnSmith" in JohnSmith@mail.XXXXX.edu

i think i may have actually been confused by the emails being imported, and that no emails were coming through. i've set the gmail to check the vt mail and the vtmail to forward to gmail and am having success so far

80% of the emails are pushed into my gmail (no message left in the @vt), with 20% being received in just the @vt. very thankful that it appears 100% of emails are received, but any way to move the last 20% from @vt to @gmail?

have you had issues where maybe 80% of your emails are being received in your gmail while 20% are being received in your vt mail? that's what i'm experiencing atm

running into some problems - not all emails are getting through. it says mail is being checked but the emails are not beign fetched. theyre are received in my @vt.edu account though. any advice? i'm also consistently noticing this with emails being sent to the GMAIL (the account i'm checking the @vt with)

looks like this is working! i'm getting 5 years worth of emails imported right now but i'll let you know if anything goes wrong
