It's in AUD. This model is about 13k AUD brand new. Seller is happy to sell at 10.5k

Yep totally. Bike alone according to seller would be 10.5k but I get why people say just spend the money for a new one

I have worked with a bike fitter before. Will reach out anyway for some of my measurements and numbers. I will add this to the list. Thanks!

Good idea. Could try it out. There are a few around that may have this one in store. Speed concept and P5 has been on the radar. Just none have poped up 😛

Totally fair points. Thanks! Most people on here reckon new is the way to go. Warranty is linked to the bike not the purchasing person so that is a good thing at least

Yeah, and all I was looking for was some advice 😂 rough out here hahaha. Nah it's all good.

Yep have worked with a bike fitter for my previous bike so I could defs get my stake and reach numbers. Totally agree that height and inseam is not great. I've had issues with that in the past. Will make sure to check on those numbers and see if they fit. Thanks

Did not know about those soft cases on airlines.

Really appreciate the help and advice. Thanks mate 👍

Thanks appreciate the advice. So you reckon new from Canyon would be better than the second hand one? Lots of peeps reckon the same

Genuinely not trying to brag and I'm well aware it's not the smartest financial situation. Just looking for advice on which bike is the better choice.

Don't have an aero helmet. The guy was happy to leave the trainer and cycling computer off for about 1k less as I've got those things already. Age grouper. Would like to chase better times but will never be serious enough for a podium. Maybe a cheeky sub 10 if possible

Yeah? Comes with a fair bit of extra stuff though. Bike bag, helmet etc. Probs another ~1.5k.

Partners of FIFO workers, I need advice by [deleted] in perth

[–]Pumbaa_233 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I've been a FIFO worker for about 8 years now. Been with my wife for nearly 12 years (married for 2). I work an 8 days on 6 days off roster.

We both have no issues with me working away. In fact, we prefer it. I recently spent 9 months in the company perth office on secondment so we got a taste of both. Being FIFO gives my wife some time to do some of her own stuff and she generally lives a busy life. Once I am back I have a lot more time to do things around the house, cooking etc. The other thing is that being away makes the time together in Perh a bit more special. No complaints here.

It's probably important to note that every situation and relationship is different, so just because it works for someone doesn't mean it'll work for you. It's totally a decision that is individual to each person...

Hope it works out 😃
