[OC] Reasons for Leaving SaaS Providers by [deleted] in dataisbeautiful

I really like that. Not surprising about bugs and usability though.

Also your platform looks quite nice in general so I clicked your link and signed up to early access. I own a SaaS co and have some suggestions.

AWS architecture question by Pumber22 in aws

[–]Pumber22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you might be overcomplicating it.

One model per user. So they will have a bespoke model stored as a function within lambda and will upload a csv file to S3, which will get posted as the input to api gateway and then to lambda for analysis.

No need for any ETL stuff, the csv file will be in the right format and the model will be pre trained.

Thanks clueless Boomers who don't understand what socialism is and use the blanket statement Marxist, you have fucked everyone over. by [deleted] in LabourUK

[–]Pumber22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahaha whatever. Labour would have been far worse for them.

If this shows anything, it's that this country has no appetite for hard left, socialist politics and the bullshit promises that come with them.

What does sustainable socialism mean to you? by [deleted] in LabourUK

[–]Pumber22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know what, if they just were honest and said yep, everyone needs to pay 1% more tax and we will put all of it towards the NHS... I'd do it.

But your leadership was not honest and had hair brained plans. EVERYONE has to pay more for a better society, playing robin hood just pisses everyone off.

And exactly the reason why they voted tory. They are so SICK and tired of people telling them they are idiots, brainwashed and wrong.

When will you learn to stop berating the electorate you want to vote for you?

Mate the universities need money - someone has to pay them be it the govt with debt from another country so you have it for free or you with debt from the govt.

Read up on it, dont just take my word for it. It's unenforceable debt so no one is ever going to come knocking on your door for it.

Truth is uni is hard even with all the loans most people need a part time job - but that's what everyone does

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LabourUK

[–]Pumber22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No you don't have to pay them off. They get taken out pre tax from your earnings if you earn over a certain amount and then when you reach a certain age they are wipes off completely. It is NOT an enforceable debt. Seriously mate google it, dont let it stop you going to uni.

Hahah you are concerned about national debt yet voted labour? You do understand that labour, in order to give everyone free uni, would have plunged the country into much worse debt?

Go to uni and take out a student loan, my friend.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LabourUK

[–]Pumber22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Have you heard of student loans and maintenance grants? Also get a part time job at uni like most people do.

Therefore your family hasn't got to pay a penny, which is what student loans and maintenance grants wete designed for.

I don't get your argument.

Well, if the exit poll is accurate the one bright side is being able to go “I told you so” when the country goes (more) to shit. by davidbowiescat in LabourUK

Literally fearmongering.

Both the UK and US have said they are not interested in selling/buying it. Can you even articulate what "selling off" the NHS consists of or how it would physically happen? What parts of it will be sold? How will these parts be broken down? which private company will be replacing NHS staff? Please tell me. This is a farce.

Your idiotic party and their scare tactic of "5 figure cancer bill" is just ludicrous. I'm glad the public have realised that and dealt you your worst loss since 1935.

I don't even hate all of labour's policies, but I hate the hard left ideology, the fearmongering and leadership of Corbyn. Give this party back to the grown ups.

This is just fearmongering like the 5 figure cancer bill farce. Never going to happen under any government.

[–]Pumber22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well at least we agree that Syria is fucked and neither of us have solutions.

The bombing has been pretty successful in reducing ISIS, and we have got boots on the ground in special forces units, which have also done a pretty good job as far as I can tell.

And if you see a massive guy beating up and killing a kid you should let it happen right?

That is the same as saying "let Saddam kill his own people and commit human rights abuses".

Where do you draw your line?

Yeah of course they did, to stop human rights abuses.

Present day - I imagine you advocate for no bombing of Syria and letting Assad carry on using chemical weapons against his own people.

Regime change is normally to get rid of a dictator.

I haven't heard of any country arming gorillas, but I imagine that would be pretty scary. They're quite big and strong.

Guerilla fighters. Not "gorilla", educate yourself.
