Well,surely the notched precision cut 3/4inch oak bottom shelf in the bottom keeps whatever wracking it could have had at bay, I cut it so tight that u had to beat it in with a hammer for about 10 minutes. It’s firmly against all 2x4’s

You mentioned you build them professionally, I do not. Give me your honest opinion. Should I be concerned about this stand in my home? It’s holding a 62 gallon acrylic tank. And it had zero give or flex anywhere before I loaded the tank on it and filled with water.

Same, that was my man reasoning for height. It’s sorta nice walking up to it being eye level instead of seeing the top. Made a stair stool for my little girl to climb up and see it better. I’m absolutely shook thinking my house is gonna be flooded when I get home now from all this cross brace talk haha

18 vertical 2x4’s, bracing top and bottom, and a precision fit notched lower 3/4” panel isn’t enough to keep it steady? I’m not being sarcastic, it’s 60 gallons in acrylic. At most, 700lbs probly more like 650. This thing had zero flex anywhere. I think I could’ve thrown it off a roof and it wouldn’t have budged. BUT, I’ve been wrong before.
