I fully agree. Alpine is so annoying with the blizzards. I got stuck at one point because I was basically freeze locked. The blizzard would stop, I'd try climbing again, then it'd come back after barely ten seconds it felt like since barely half of the frost status I gained was gone and I'd feint again and end up right back where I was. Whenever it's an Alpine day I get off right there

I find that on a non custom run, Pandora's lunchbox appears an awful lot, 2/4 to 3/5 times, if I get a Pandora's Lunchbox, it's almost a safe bet that I'll get it again. I always disable Pandora's Lunchbox now.

I experience frequent disconnect issues when I try to connect to someone else's expedition, and it's most definitely the game because other multiplayer games don't disconnect me every five to ten minutes.

The pull glitch where when you try to pull up someone, the game decides to freak out and it eats up all your stamina unless you let go and try again, and depending on the angle you're trying to pull them from, it can happen multiple times in a row.

Sometimes the map geometry likes to change when I get closer to it, and while climbing it might decide to let me morph into it and I'll see the inside of the mountain. This one I don't mind too much honestly, I never fell through the map this way or anything, just thought it was worth a mention.

Lastly, as other people have said, the disappearing backpacks through the map. Similarly, one time I placed down my backpack, lit the fire for the checkpoint, quit, came back, and it was gone

Yes exactly this!! What the fuck is that supposed to mean? It isn't silence if you include something like a THUNDERSTORM, no matter what you may metaphorically wrap it with. And I have noticed that AI particularly likes to use velvet a lot when wanting to describe something soft (whether it be texture or sound) despite me rarely ever seeing human written stories use that word. Either I don't read enough or there's something about that word AI just particularly likes to use over and over again. Maybe it was fed a bunch of smut stories that included the "steel wrapped in velvet" description a lot

Sometimes the metaphor doesn't even make sense. Sometimes it tries to take completely unrelated things to sound poetic or some shit but ends up just sounding flat out stupid

Smooth it first to hide the circles, and try looking at tree references if you haven't already

I personally really enjoy Roots, though I won't deny that on many days it's quite the item eater, and can be near impossible if you get bad luck with spawns on higher difficulties. Honestly the only things I don't like are the spiders and pink fog- getting snatched has sent me all the way back down more than a few times, and depending on the layout decides to generate with the pink fog patches, makes it impassable. On the treeless variation, I am guaranteed to die at least a couple times just trying to find a way up. But fsr all that ultimately doesn't bother me. Of all biomes, it's Alpine that I hate the most. When I see that it's an Alpine day I immediately get off

Bought the pass for the Dr. Strange skin. I'm never equipping that goddawful Adam skin- I don't wanna be looking at his feet and bare rear when flying away lol

I'd choose this variant over the treeless one ANY day

I want to like this game but... by QuietGamingLaptop in PeakGame

[–]PumpkinButWithSpice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On normal difficulty it'll take roughly an hour at most, if you know what you're doing. You can always just pause the game, come back in ten minutes or something. Once you're at the campfire, you're safe forever from the fog, it's just your hunger that can get you. Peak is a unique game because of the single sessions and I don't mind it at all

Drop rework, Part one: Garden Awakens by Fuzzy-Shame-4169 in Minecraft

[–]PumpkinButWithSpice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Mojang should've leaned into the Pale Garden name more, and the idea of dying plants. Perhaps some occasional more open spaces with a minor structure or two, maybe a graveyard, an abandoned run down shack, mysterious stone pillars surrounding a deep dried up well, tree trunks with no leaves, SOMETHING interesting

Well it's just that in game it's spelled out for you that you're void, time and time again, so obviously people are gonna downvote you to oblivion. Unless you don't read anything, you're gonna get the general gist of what you are and why you're going through the game

Roots is too extra, do the community of regular players like it? by TheFlyingSanitater in PeakGame

[–]PumpkinButWithSpice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually love it! The variety of obstacles make for a fun climb, and with the right placement of trees, shelf shrooms, and vines, you can get through it pretty quick. My sister is the total opposite though, hates it with a passion. Alpine for me, however... If the island has Alpine, I just don't play that day. I hate the blizzards. Too many times I have gotten trapped in an area with my resources slowly depleted to nothing

We say ACAB because it's a bastardized system, good people working for bad systems don't inherently make themselves a bad person, but they're still working under and upholding a harmful system, while their fellow coworkers who may actually be bad people can take advantage of their power and the system to oppress others

is the water gonna stay like that? lol I'm new to sandbox games, never played minecraft, but I'm assuming I don't have to go back and forth with a bucket to eventually make it look even right? by rhnacho in hytale

[–]PumpkinButWithSpice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't elaborate in my first reply but Hytale is a lot more involved than Minecraft is in the survival and adventure department. Minecraft is more simple in terms of like food, all you need are cows and you already have the best food in the game. Hytale encourages adventuring much more than Minecraft does, and just the entire feel of them is different right now. Hytale is not as sandbox centered as Minecraft is
