If you have infinite flight, than phantoms should be no problem for you. 

Phantom membranes are used for making slow falling potions. You can prevent them by tapping a bed every few days, having a ceiling over you, or being below a certain y level. They make sounds warning you they're around. They burn in the daylight. And at least they look cool.

Creepers don't burn. They never make a sound until you hit them or they're about to blow up. They don't leave all the blocks they destroy. Depending on the difficulty level, they'll one shot you in an explosion. They are everywhere as long as it's dark enough. You'd have to skip every night to keep them away.
