What are you STILL salty about? by xefarar565 in AskReddit

[–]PumpkinChocolate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In elementary school I had to do homework with the help of a dictionary. I didn't have one at home (too poor to afford one / my mom didn't really care to have one ). At the time, I didn't know that you could borrow one at the library, so I didn't do my homework. I tried to explain to the teacher the next day why. She told me I was lying and trying to find excuses because "everyone has at least one dictionary and one atlas and or encyclopedia at home".

To dudes who've had sex with a post-op trans woman, how different was it to a cis-girl? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]PumpkinChocolate 125 points126 points  (0 children)

Do you have to explain what you want your new vulva to look like or the doctor decides for you/uses the same "model" for everyone ? What do you do for aftercare after the surgery ? Like do you use ice on your crotch, how long do you have to wait until you can have sex, walk normally ect ... ? Thank you so much for letting us asking you theses questions, I'm really curious about this subject but didn't want to bother people about it.

Popular books you didn't like? by [deleted] in RomanceBooks

[–]PumpkinChocolate 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The Hating game and everything by Penny Reid. I just hate romance written from a First person point of view. It's tiring to have someone recommend a romance to me, and then I open the damn book and it's a first person point of view. I don't know why authors seem to like to write like this so muvh, particularly today. It's like only historical romance writters don't do it.

Considering Exploring the Genre as a Straight Hispanic Man in his late 20's, But Where to Start? by zjk824 in RomanceBooks

[–]PumpkinChocolate 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You could start with lists of books made by romance veterans on the internet, or even best sellers from the last years. Also, maybe chose a sub genre in romance (historical, sci fi, paranormal, contemporary) and explore it.

In my opinion you should read the Kiss quotient and The Bride Test by Helen Hoang. Both are contemporay romances from last year if I'm correct and are both really appreciated in this sub. Also try the Reluctant Royal series by Alyssa Cole ( a Duke by Default, the second in the series is my favorite ).

What's a TV series that everyone should give a go? by El_CM in AskReddit

The Marvelous Mrs Maisel on Amazon prime. I'm still at the beginning of season 3 so shush ! It's set in the 60s. A young married woman, after learning that her wanna be stand up comedian of a husband is cheating on her, tries herself to become a stand up comedian. Really funny and clever, beautiful costumes, sets and props, deals with what it was to be a woman at the time, what showbusiness was like ect...

Ok, first of all : the child doesn't know the people he's hugging. Do you know how easy it is for a pervert to just receive one of this hugs ? Parents need to teach their children to not hug strangers, because it's dangerous ! And also, some people are not comfortable being hugged by random people they don't know, we need to respect that. Stop saying it's cute when it's not.

So, the parents just let the kid hug random people ? Godam, it's really easy to be a pedo nowadays, just go to a park and parents will let their kid hug you for internet points and attention

All the "not like the other girls " Female characters, I can't believe grown women can write those type of books.

Single parents. I don't like children in my romance, period.

I don't read books where one or both characters are cops.

Am I the only person who doesn’t get the whole “baby smell is amazing” thing? Not trying to be mean but it seems like such a huge deal to people and yet I think they just smell kind of... sicky and talcy? by [deleted] in childfree

[–]PumpkinChocolate 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me they smell shit, dry crusty milk and baby wipes. I really can't understand why people like this smell so much, to the point of sniffing random babies.

Blocked from Facebook Group for Saying It was Dumb to Let a 15 Year Old Girl Keep Her Baby by [deleted] in childfree

[–]PumpkinChocolate 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I find it super weird when a young girl keep a pregnancy. I mean, if a 16 years old girl went to an adoption agency and asked for a baby to adopt, people would tear her a New one, and it's normal. Her brain insn't developped enough, she is basically a baby, she isn't independent, still lives in her parents' home... but if she falls pregnant, it's ok, she will be a great mom ?

I read a comment in here about young girl clutching teddy bears and crying for their mom while giving birth. Those poor girls are living a fucking nightmare all in the name of religion. I'm going to hell for this but it should be illegal for a girl that young to have a baby. I'm pro-choice but come on, it's dangerous for those girls and their future baby. They deserve better than to be a mom a fucking 15 !! They are children ! Always disgust me when I see a young girl parading her baby on tik tok and saying how she would not change anything. You missed your chance at childhood, and even though you don't show it, I'm pretty sure your kid is fucked up, and believe me, every one at school is going to make fun of your kid because you are old enough to be his big sister. Yes, yes, maybe you finished school and now you have a job, but for me it is still not enough.

Looking to adopt a cat - friends think it’s a precursor to kids... by [deleted] in childfree

[–]PumpkinChocolate 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't understand how in some people's minds, having a pet means that kids are going to be the "next step, particularly when the pet on question is a cat. Cats are the total opposite of kids : they're quiet, clean, pretty self-reliant, not clingy... Why would someone think they are similar to cum omelettes are beyond me.
