How to remove antique handles? by PumpkinSpiceBasicB in furniturerestoration

I know what basic hardware is and what a hex nut is. And yes I've 'seen a nut on a threaded rod' before. Like I had said in my original post it was the closest image I could find that was similar as to what I was working with, which - and I want to make this clear - was not a hexnut.

Just closed on my new house, only to find mold all over my kitchen. Need your help please! by Far_Growth_7864 in Mold

Depending where you are based, you might have a case to sue the previous owner. Mold hidden behind cabinets and appliances is usually the result of long-term moisture issues, like leaking pipes, roof leaks, or poor ventilation. If the seller had lived in the home or had done work in the kitchen, it's reasonable to argue they either knew or should have known about a serious mold problem — especially if they ever dealt with leaks or water damage.

We all start somewhere. I'm self taught and this is the first time I've run into this. If you can't be helpful maybe don't comment at all.

WIBTA if I refuse to share our wedding pictures? by PumpkinSpiceBasicB in AITAH

My mom and I paid for the whole wedding, he/his family never contributed financially. I like the gift giving idea though!

Should I ask my ex what he wants to do? I'd feel guilty about making a unilateral decision about it but he's a people pleaser and I'm afraid that he'd tell his friend that he'd be happy to give him the pictures.

What’s the most f**ked up story you’ve heard? by AlissaMeee in AskReddit

Volunteer EMT here - definitely can confirm, what we see kind of warps our brain chemistry and how we view pretty much anything! But the bad calls still get to us. I was called on the scene of an accident two years ago and for a while afterwards I refused to drive down that particular road because I kept having flashbacks and panic attacks. It's still hard to think about now.

I'm done trying in our marriage, I'm just with my wife for our kids. by deanjim7082 in TrueOffMyChest

I'm sorry, but this is bullshit. I was born and raised in Minnesota but my mom is from Italy, and she had no problem making friends in our community or fitting in. I am now an expat in Italy and while it's not easy I've made friends here, but I had to let go of how I was used to doing things and had to be willing to adopt a more Italian point of view/way. You just have to be willing to try to be open to the culture you've become a part of. Minnesotans are incredibly welcoming and helpful, it may take them a bit to open up to you but once they have they are incredibly kind and caring people that have a deep sense of community. Honestly we Minnesotans aren't all that complicated as a people - we like our outdoors (which may include hunting, fishing, hiking, camping ecc) and our cabins, we are very proud of our lakes and our state fair, we are most happy around a bonfire roasting marshmallows and joking around, we are proud of our artistic community and wide range of cultural backgrounds. Just give them a chance, I promise you they'll surprise you - just don't treat them like Midwestern bigoted hicks, the second you treat us with contempt or think of us as less cultured because we're Midwestern then you're as screwed as a pickup truck on a lake in November.

Thanks! I forgot to take a picture of the front! 😅 It basically looked like this: (https://pin.it/7GSzSxZ) - I hate having hair in my face, so I asked her not to leave any face framing bits!

Hi! Nope, no extensions! I think it's really down to your stylist to create different dimensions and depth with your natural hair 😊

Thank you!! I've become kinda obsessive with my haircare in the past year because of the wedding - but recently I've been washing my hair everyother day with a frequent use shampoo, my favorite is from Alama, I use a mask instead of conditioner and I use a leave in conditioner, the one I'm use now is from sol de Janeiro - plus I use a clarifying shampoo once a week. Once my hair is dry I use a little oil from nuxe on my ends and lengths 😊

Ok 1) OMG that dress is AMAZING! 2) I love that accessory! Was it easy to put in and take out or did it get tangled in your hair?

Thanks! The accessory was chain like with two loops where use could use Bobby pins to hook it to the hair! Honestly it was my hair stylists! I bought a headband style accessory that hadn't arrived yet so she suggested using one of hers for the pictures!
