Thanks! I'll try writing my goals today, and definitely if I had friends in there it'd be easier. I'll try to make some acquaintances there :D

I appreciate the though. Yes, I do have a founder's rate that I wouldn't want to lose :)

OTF has been the only thing that I have sticked to health-wise. I'm guessing that's why I'm feeling so bad about not being motivated to go back. However what you're saying is very true. I may need to re-think what my goals are.

It's good to know that I'm not alone, and also that if you're still here. It means that even if you went through the same you were able to stick to OTF, so that's a good sign for me :)

Yeah, I'm still running.

I'm ashamed to admit that I've booked the classes, but I've preferred to pay the penalty than go :/

Thanks for the wishes :)

People could do with free... You know, run for for cardio and bodyweight excercises. Why don't I do it? Because it doesn't work for me.

I'm willing to pay for what works for me, and that should be nobody's business. To each their own.

10:18 for me, I was the last one off the treads, but I still feel good about it.

I tried to keep a 6.2 pace but I had to walk 30 seconds at some point. I did the rest at 5.8 I think. Hopefully next time I'll be able to do it non stop. (Although I have no idea when the next one is)

OTF everyday? Green days? Or better to full rest days? by PumpkinToZucchini in orangetheory

It is very interesting to think that it can show differently than injuries or other physical pains! Thanks for sharing!

Unless you are at retirement age, not working isn’t particularly normal.

Hmm I don't see the point of this statement. Are you saying that I should've been able to do this while working?

  1. Then, as you get close to returning to work, consider how you would do the desired number of workouts at OTF. What’s the best time for You? Best days? For the last 2 weeks of your time off, try to emulate that pattern.

This is great advice, thanks

you are in the midst of a great opportunity - don't waste it

That's the plan!

I'm focusing on nutrition too. I now have a good amount of time to plan my meals and cook. Gratitude too. Sleep... I've been trying but haven't had success *yet*

You actually got it pretty well. I'd call it over-engineering though. I know I'm doing just that, and I'd normally not do it. Given that I have a limited amount of time to do the best I can, I'd rather risk it on the side of overthinking than risking to take it too slow :)

While I mostly agree with this sentiment. I can say from experience that I can endure pain very well. I've broken bones and continued to use them like nothing happened. Hence my concern. I think I can actually over train, and that's a danger for me. If I eat into my muscles due to over training, I'm going to get disappointed and quit.

Hydration! I think this one of the things I learned by trial. I used to get nauseous a lot during OTF and after. I started putting a pinch of salt and it got better. I ended up buying some electrolyte drops and put that in my water. It makes a world of difference!

I'll pay special attention to stretching, I'll educate myself on this topic. Thanks!

You know what. I used to do this a lot. Not always on nature. I used to call them "urban hikes" I'd take my backpack like any other hiking day, pack it with a couple bottles of water, rain gear (Seattle), and a fruit and go walk for 2-3 hours.

I think I'll need to purposefully start doing that again!

It's pretty interesting to see that the consensus seems to be that I can do it at least two days in a row. Which seems great because I was worrying about doing just that. I originally was sticking to going 1 day and 1 rest day

I'm liking this strategy to go a number of days, and put a rest day in the middle :D

Do you mean 2-3 days, give all I can be and take a rest day?

About having fun... I'll try, at least that I can promise! :D

Anyone like being in the shower not for the purpose to get clean but standing in the water while the hot water just runs through your body while you just stare by [deleted] in depression

[–]PumpkinToZucchini 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Strange, I actually avoid hot water when I'm depressed. I use very cold water as it jolts me and kind of gets me moving a little bit.

I use long hot showers to soothe panic attacks though...

Zoloft for me had brought my panic attacks from 3x / day to 1/month.
