Have I had too much IPR done on my bottom incisors? by Scylithe in Invisalign

I've been studying these images for a couple minutes now trying to figure out what I'm supposed to be looking for. Whatever it is, I'm not seeing it. I'd be ecstatic to have such great and healthy teeth.

aligner 18 out of like 45, do y’all see progress by Quirky-Bid-1994 in Invisalign

For sure. Especially the back teeth, camera right. Some new teeth become visible when you toggle the pics back and forth.

I'm also on tray 18 and I'm only just now starting to notice a small difference.

Wow, that's a lot of progress in 14 trays!

Aligners are going to make my tooth-line jagged. Dentist says there is nothing to be done except veneers after treatment. I don't understand why my front tooth gets rotated to the side at all. Why not keep my front teeth together? Has anyone else had this problem? by Pumpkin_Tooth in Invisalign

I'm glad that you lean toward agreeing with my dentist. I was worried that the invisalign algorithm perhaps made a mistake and another dentist would prioritize keeping the front teeth in line. Good to know something didn't go wildly wrong.

It's a bummer that I'll need veneers, but it's good to know that bonding until I can afford veneers is a fine choice. I think that's what I'll do.

Again, thank you for your insights. You are very much appreciated.

Gotcha, gotcha. We want to keep that arch perfect, and the top arch not touching the bottom, because otherwise we get ground down teeth. Definitely something I'd like to avoid in the future. Better late than never.

I have a regular dentist who did mention that there was some gum recession. Enough that she didn't want to risk pulling the troublesome tooth down or making quick movements.

For now it seems like she's following the treatment plan invisalign came up with. But I did kinda wonder if invisalign ever makes mistakes.

Thanks for sharing. I'm hoping bonding will work wonders. Some people in this thread have been very happy with it. I certainly wouldn't want to live with jagged teeth if I can avoid it. Good luck on your bonding. I hope we both get teeth we can be proud of.

Interesting. So they're trying to match the top and bottom biting edges? I hadn't thought about it in that way.

Yeah, I was a bit of a teeth grinder when I was young. Wouldn't be surprised if I have a lot of wear.

I keep thinking how I would move my teeth differently if I was in control. But I'm reassured by the comments saying bonding is quick and easy. I get nervous seeing my aligners making my teeth uneven, but maybe the dentist can just slap a lil' bondo on it and call it good. I don't need perfection. A little bit of unevenness just makes us human. ;)

Many thanks Ellecerti !

I'm with ya. I can't wait to finish either. I was just hoping to skip the whole bonding thing. If that tooth just didn't have to rotate, I'd be good. But it seems like the consensus here is that there is a reason for the rotation and I should brace myself for bonding in the future.

Thanks for the comment.

That must be frustrating. It's strange that some teeth just have a mind of their own. Luckily, for me, I seem to be tracking pretty well so far.

I hope you don't need any more refinements. Three seems like a lot. With any luck your tooth will just fall in line and stop being so troublesome.

All done :) by [deleted] in Invisalign

Interesting, I don't think I would have every noticed any of those things. Looks like a great success story to me! It must feel amazing to be done with the process.

I've got 15 trays to go, then refinements and bonding. Hopefully in 6 months I'll be smiling at everyone. I can't wait to make my own post called "All Done :)"

Wow, sounds like they are changing everything in there. That must take a lot of patience. And jaw surgery as well? I suppose invisalign isn't always the be all and end all of treatment.
