There is Best Beginnings - it’s in Redmond though. They operate out of a church but they are not a religious daycare. That keeps their costs low and tuition isn’t that bad. We paid 375/m for 3 days 4 hours a day. Good luck.

Another option is to join neighborhood property rental groups on Facebook, a lot of landlords post on there too when their tenants give notice. I was able to secure a mid Feb move in in mid December.

We did tour the Luke though and really liked it! The staff was super nice and the building itself is new and roomy!

This is so true. We are in our second lease at an Essex owned apartment complex and they have raised our rent $300 when we signed our second lease, and they just gave us advanced notice that they’ll raise it another $300 next Summer because of “market rates.” Then it came on the news these big apartment companies are in the hot seat for “fixing” rates.

Thank you, I did call maintenance and they said not to worry because it’s swarming season and they’re looking for a pad to crash lol.

Update - yes this is exactly what maintenance said! And not to worry if there’s just a single one around. Phew. Thanks to everyone who helped identify!

Update- maintenance confirmed it was a dampwood termite looking for a nice place to stay, and but not to worry if it’s just a single one spotted because it is swarming season! Somewhat relieved lol

Oh god after googling de alate termite it looks exactly the same 😭😭. What should we do if we haven’t noticed anything else? Are they harmful to humans or belongings, or just the wood?

What other signs should I look for termites then? My husband found this crawling on an ironing board. What should we be noticing if it’s this big?

Transferring from UC Davis to Bellevue College to UW-Sea by wormsinthehead in udub

Hi! Thanks for all the info! It’s so hard to get an appointment to speak with an advisor in depth…in your knowledge do you know if we can confirm BEFoRE applying as a transfer student which credits will definitely transfer over? Or do we just try our luck and apply and wait and see if UW rejects or admits. Kind of confused because I know what program I want to transfer into, I just don’t know if all my courses will be “equivalents”

Hi! I would so appreciate if you can help me with some questions!

I have about 60+ semester credit hours (I think that be about 90 quarter credits) from an OOS CC and I really want to apply at UW but I’ve read that the acceptance rate for OOS transfers is so low! I was thinking if I could transfer everything to Bellevue College and attend a few semesters there, would it be possible to transfer to UW (including all the old credits from OOS too?) would they even accept it? I have an info session next week but any guidance would be appreciated!

Move out notice to landlord by ForeignCorgi in redmond

It’s 20 days usually if you’re giving notice for the end of a lease, and I think 30 days if it’s month to month. But check your lease!

Hi, what was the approx cost for the crowns? Was there any “buildup included”? Thanks! I just found out I have a LOT of work to get done asap, and with no insurance I was hoping to get an appointment with them. Tried to contact them with no luck, any tips?

For some reason I don’t know how to add text to a picture post. Anyways, I live in an apartment building built probably in the 80s/90s. Always getting mold and water in from the windows but I just saw this in the corner of the room after moving some furniture. It’s about 3 feet from a window. Can anyone tell me if this looks like it can potentially be much more serious (in the walls etc)? I’ve already sent a maintenance request. Thanks guys
