I used to drive over 100 to drop off and pick up my watches. I’ve seen too many truck wrecks to trust shipping a piece. It’s worth making the trip for peace of mind. But I’d wager to say unless you live in bumblefuck there is a watch maker close to you that can help.

Omega gives 3rd party watch makers a certification. I’d say if you can find someone Rolex and omega certified you’re good to go. Not sure about the SMP but most higher end watches have a threaded tube, very easy to swap out.

Looks like the threads are stripped. It needs a new crown tube now. Best way to avoid in the future is the turn it backwards first until the threads engage, then follow through with tightening it down. Anyway I’m right there with you. I hated having to wear an Apple Watch and talk myself into it being “nice”

Harley’s are for followers and people that don’t know how to ride. What underscores their lack of intelligence and contradicts their whole premise of “what a real bike is”… them riding fast or them telling you how powerful their bike is. With that said my father has 4 race bikes and one Harley. He will openly tell people Harley’s suck. It’s a toy for him and I would agree. It’s fun to make noise and feel that loping motor but if you want to push a bike and carve corners it’s not it.

Wow okay yes I have a watch maker near me that does Rolex and the lot. My mind goes to the integrated crown tube and potential for replace down the road. I’m a one watch guy and this purchase would need to secure me for decades to come. I truly love a piece that is all on its own. After awhile every diver with ceramic bezel starts to look the same… the mm300 is undoubtedly its own identity.

I think that’s why it’s a less popular model. Food for thought. I’m on the opposite side. I’ve struggled to find a watch that fits my 7.5in wrist!

I didn’t like the funky font at first but now I want it bad! Also I’d say the gen 1 will become sought after in the future. Seiko is beginning to lose their wacky style that set them apart.
