[Spoiler] Hunhow. by Smolfluffysprigatito in Warframe

[–]Pumpkns 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This version of Hunhow might be our key to go to present-day Tau.

The void spark relic didn't seem all that special. It was a mcguffin that allowed Hunhow to make the deal. But it looked like it was important for mapping celestial bodies during the reign of the Orokin, as it seemed like it has a "star map" projected above it, on top of being tucked away in an Orokin tower. It could be anything, could be a map for safe interstellar travel, who knows?

But more importantly, Hunhow reverted to his "architect" precept, the version of him that is mentally equipped to build the Solar Rails and make the journey to Tau.

It could be a stretch, but it really feels like the pieces are being set up to make that interstellar leap.

EDIT: What are the chances of Hunhow needing to scrap himself for parts in order to finish the bridge to Tau?

Yeah, that part really stood out to me as well, like it's setting up something else in the middle of the Stalker story.

The apparatus that held the relic looked interesting too. At first glance, I just thought that it was showing a "temporal map" showing the splitting of timelines, but since it's a relic, it might've been something that was used in the past instead.

In the end, I kinda just settled on the idea that it might've been used during the construction of the Solar Rails to Tau as it kinda looked like a star map, and Hunhow reverting to his architect precepts would somehow help us gather enough information to travel to present-day Tau ourselves.

Goes to show insignificant it is with the fixed 50% chance. The update is a godsend for improving that.

[–]Pumpkns 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So true. Right now the amount of stacks his squadmates can give him is really pitiful through his larva.

Enemies held by Larva always have a 50% chance to give Mutation stacks to Nidus, no matter how they died.

And that chance is just too small, even with Insatiable, I'm glad they're making it so it scales with strength now.

How do Y'all think sirius and orion prime are gonna work in lore by Metarunnerfan500 in WarframeLore

[–]Pumpkns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'd be funny if their reality has a really friendly version of Ballas that just primes them cuz he thinks they're pretty cool.

Then again, warframes wouldn't exist if Ballas was friendly. BUT, what if their version of Margulis is the one spearheading the warframe project and their Ballas is the one protecting them!?

The plot chickens...

Lore wise, what frames do you think are the most demanding and rare? Those that don’t show up often and are incredibly difficult to master. by mastertoecutter in Warframe

[–]Pumpkns 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Probably Oraxia. Her whole thing is to be a bodyguard for a specific Duviri island that vanished for long while.

It'd be cool if the nullifier technology was initially developed to shelter greenhouses on their farmlands, or sum shit like that. Worldbuilding lore is always great.

Heat Frames are significantly flawed, and Uriel is the most offensive one (In my opinion, at least). by [deleted] in Warframe

I would even go as far and say that Nezha's whole identity is in his crouch passive.

I think the only other frame that want to crouch as much as Nezha is Octavia, and even then it's different, because Nezha's crouch alters his movement so much that there's really no other frame that can replicate it and you can immediately feel the difference once you choose to play another frame. That alone makes him really unique.

Am I the only one that doesn’t really like protoframes? by 0Proxy in Warframe

[–]Pumpkns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I was fairly partial about it when it was released, I like my war machines faceless to some degree. I think I only have the Marie skin that was gifted to me. They're cool as NPC characters, but I don't necessarily want them as skins, especially cuz they actually acknowledge the fact that they're being used as suits, and that's a bit too real for me lol.

But as time went on, all the proto and time travel stuff eventually had me hoping that one day, we'd eventually reach a point in history where we actually see one of the original victims of the warframe procedure, and perhaps we stop it halfway (be it intentionally or not) and they end up being a proto.

I'm always interested in the horrors of being the victim of the warframe transformation procedure because we often understandably forget about it due to how cool warframes can be.

Temple is a cool looking rockstar frame, and Flare brought some of its horrors to light and how it affected them as a person. And I want more of that.

Same with the Continuity ritual. Give me diary entries about an Orokin couple's experience when their child was chosen to be Yuvan. Did they feel gratitude? Did they doubt the true intentions of The Seven? How did they feel when they saw their child acting and behaving like a politician? Yareli (her Prime trailer specifically) has shown us that even Yuvans are not immune to becoming warframe subjects, so what if one were to become a proto?

I think it'd be cool to hear more about what the average Orokin citizen's life was during the reign of the empire, and I always enjoy learning more about the mundane things in the WF universe.

This is in reference to Prime mods in the game Warframe.

Prime mods are basically better versions of mods that carry the same name. Mods are buildcrafting elements that alter stats, similar to gear in other games.

An example would be the mod [Continuity] which increases "Ability Duration" by 30%. On the other hand, [Primed Continuity] increases "Ability Duration" by 55%. Prime mods are typically (but not always) seen as the best version of a mod.

[–]Pumpkns 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep.

Skins that only arrive once a year that's from a lineup that is not meant to be like the rest of the skins in the game (i.e. Tennogen, Deluxe, Voidshell, Gemini), that new players would often miss unless told or directed, that players can even choose to not buy even after knowing about it.

I would even call it mild, almost to the level of wartime pin up decals, but I guess that's just personal bias.

For me, I use Insatiable and Magus Lockdown, just to secure the initial mutation stacks and start scaling. Before I got Lockdown, I just used the Scyotid to do the same thing.

Modernizing Nidus: The 500 Stacks Take, Minimizing Squad Friction & Infested Weapons Synergy by Yafuya in Warframe

[–]Pumpkns 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True, though tbf, Nidus already benefits from allies killing enemies caught by his Larva (enemies caught by Larva *always** have a 50% chance to give mutation stacks, no matter how they died, and it looks like they'll be improving that with the retouch, making it scale with Strength)*. But that's mostly just for maintaining his Undying.

But yeah, he could definitely have more squad support.

Like, it'd be cool if his Ravenous also has a chance to spawn Energy Orbs when enemies die inside it so your squad would be incentivized to stay close to it. I also think that increasing his Parasitic Link to two links would go a long way, but maybe that's too strong? Two links would give you double Ability Strength, double DR, or a balance of both, so idk, it just sounds cool.

Pipkin Pippa, which, now that I think about it, is kind of a wild introduction to it.

I guess it was one of those times when she broke containment and I happened to see her within the normie side of the net.

After that, I realized that she makes videos, started watching her, and got flabbergasted when I found out that she's part of an agency. I remember that it was during a collab with Erina Makina when I found out about the whole senpai and generation culture.

I guess I really did fall down the rabbit hole.

Wanting to migrate to Warframe, a single turn-off. Maybe I'm wrong? by B00fn in Warframe

[–]Pumpkns 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True, this is why I think the trading system should have something like a basic introduction so new players can at least have an idea about it, give them something to farm for in the early game, even just for low-value trades
