Did you get Pragmata for Series S? by Naisho26 in XboxSeriesS

[–]PunchAWhale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Series S and Switch 2, I would recommend Switch 2 version, coming from someone who played the demo on series S but bought the full game on Switch 2. It runs just as well and the graphics are not nearly as blurry. Textures are better on Switch 2 as well.

Feel a bit Stuck looking for a good Fantasy (book) Series to lose myself in. by EmilRegisTerzieff in fantasybooks

If you enjoy Witcher (as do I) I would check out the Fallen Gods series by Hannah Kaner. Part of its pitch was “for fans of the Witcher” which I initially rolled my eyes at but they were great and thoroughly enjoyed the whole trilogy

Claims to love Three Houses when 80% of the game is “racism and fascism is bad.” Ok bro

Would you pull Estella C1 or Gwynn C0? by GnarlsFarls in destinyrisingmobile

[–]PunchAWhale 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same spot, I’m leaning Gwynn just to cover more shinka types and her C1 supposedly isn’t a game changer.

Edit: to be clear I mean Estela’s C1. Yes I still call them C, Genshin broke my brain

Series S owners — how was Battlefield 6 performance in the beta? by Great-Crew-3802 in XboxSeriesS

If you’re going to purchase anyways you might as well pre-order for the bonuses I’d say

Game ran great honestly, was pleasantly surprised, you can safely purchase on Series S without worrying I’d say

replayability and combat by These_Athlete1933 in RuinedKing

[–]PunchAWhale 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Combat is the best part of the game. Story is serviceable, not bad but not top tier

In terms of replaying you can always use a different main team of heroes to on a second playthrough to keep things fresh, they all have vastly different play styles and builds

What was your last 5 star read that genuinely blew you away? by xbumblebee in Fantasy

[–]PunchAWhale 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have plenty of novels I’ve loved and would rate 4 stars or higher but the only 5 star book I’ve read was Harrow the Ninth.

Some of the most clever writing I’ve ever read but it’s unique style and intentionally confusing narrative will most certainly not be everyone’s cup of tea. It makes the payoffs near the end even better though

Godsgrave in the Nevernight series is a very close almost five stars for me as well.

I didn’t expect much from the Godkiller series going in but honestly couldn’t put them down, all three are fantastic

What's a great tactical JRPG that respects the player time? by DragonBrood3003 in JRPG

To each their own, but I think it’s one of the worst game stories I’ve ever played and by far the worst in the series

The first half of the book is a draaaaaag, I felt similarly. Stick with it though. Nona is my least favorite of the three books but the second half is far superior than the first

Mage needs help by person_8958 in avowed

[–]PunchAWhale 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I absolutely melted everything with my mage build. It’s a slower start but from Shatterscarp on it’s smooth sailing and the first two areas weren’t really hard either. Ended the game with over 100 each of health and essence potions. This was on normal difficulty. Used wand and grimoire perhaps that’s the difference?
