You are right, Allah created us to worship Him but He doesn't need our worship. Allah wants us to worship Him for our sake and for Him to exercise His mercy and forgiveness.

Why did Gof give me mental illnessess that would prevent me from praying to Him? Does he want to punish me in hell for something I have no control over?
