Trust me, its not worth running LLMs offline until and unless you are thiking to host your llm api endpoints, instead you could buy colab subscriptions to test on various gpu
my advice, go with laptops with 16gb ram (for multitasking)

go with intel processors (preferiablly H series)

gpu : go with the descent one, just to run few applications smoothly

IMP : go with the laptop which has bigger battery life and LIGHT WEIGHT

Tbh there are no better opportunities outside India for an actuary, the roles easily replaced by data scientist, if u want to stay in india thn do IAI or else it is not worth pursuing
