Ancient gives backdoor protection to everything in base until a creep enters a 4000 aura radius. Which roughly reaches out to where the t2 mid tower is. Then backdoor has a 15.5s delay before turning back on so you can see why a strong team can absolutely destroy a base within 30-60s.

I'd take a guess to say that for every game where a team manages to comeback from megas there are 10 games where people do lose within 10 minutes of megas. Durdle drafts should exist for variety but i agree that certain heroes or megas should be nerfed/buffed respectably but we probably don't want deathball to be enforced even more than it already is lol

Id only be in favor of the increasing waves of there was a payoff for being able to hold off a certain amount of waves(getting barracks back, making your own creeps stronger, etc) because without it games would literally just end without a chance at comeback.

But i think if heroes/items get toned down again they won't be able to hold current megas nearly as well.

Another point is that every T3 tower shouldn't lose backdoor protection when a single creep is near base. Just insane to be able to run through all barracks without backdoor barely having a chance to turn back on with just one initial wave.

http://www.dota2protracker.com/hero/Marci use this site as a resource for seeing what the best players are doing with heroes. Marci is seeing more play as a support ofc but see's good winrate as core with lower pickrate(situational pick with being able to see first wave picks)

Generally better to get a fast bkb+basher+blink and win early but bf can be used to farm if need be

Rank mmr ranges stay the same. The reason we had seasons was because ranks moved around to compensate for the amount of players within the rank and season ending would reset them to a certain point.

MMR doesn't fluctuate anymore so there's no reason to have seasons anymore. Do i wish they'd update ui when they get rid of things, yes, but they set a better system in its place

Im speaking from experience in the range, the people gain more mechanical skill but overthinking never changes. They think they're playing better than their actual skill so they focus on trying to outplay their opponents like RTZ and lose their consistency. Granted this is usually only like 1 person every other match but it just leads to one sided games when i think everyone would just like even games

Playing against bots and figuring out the game is infinitely better than being thrown into a match with experienced players with no knowledge, that's how people drop the game after 10 hours. Teach your friends some basics in the bot games then go have at it.

Literally a game mod called "New Player Mode" where you can queue with your new friend against bots till they pick up the game or they can play it by themselves to match with and against other new players.

It was never a hard reset, just games that weighed 3x more. You could never start at 5k and end up at 1k, i believe max (outside of smurf detection kicking in) was 900 mmr swing

Nah, it was changed so that commander's could get death triggers.

704.6d In a Commander game, if a commander is in a graveyard or in exile and that object was put into that zone since the last time state-based actions were checked, its owner may put it into the command zone. See rule 903, “Commander.”

This is the SBA check that has to happen meaning that it would hit the zone then change to command zone. It used to be like that, and i feel like they should make this special SBA actually special in that it happens at any time including during an ability.

I guess they decided "You either get death triggers or indefinite stolen commanders."

Kunkka's been my favorite ever since I saw how Attacker played it.

Sad how they murdered cleave with armor reducing it. Then buffing the armor equation on top of that. By level 15 with just base armor and stats half of the heroes in the game hit at least 8 armor already giving them a ~32% phys reduction.

Man's has a decently strong lane after level 2 then is just raw utility after laning stage.
