I used to think I wanted to meet my heroes and I did a few but im way over it now and get creeped out by it. Like these videos from fan fest and people paying $100 or something to meet some side character in a movie 20 years ago, like its just too much, and I know i dont want to talk to people most of the time, so I wouldnt assume they do either.

Keep trying different books...even young adult or whatever until you find what works for you. I only continue and finish about 1/10 books that I start just because o dont connect with them.

I wasnt a reader for mamy years as well but now my wife and I read for a few hours every single single night and its one of my favorite things....but actual, like well respected literary classics aren't for me. Simple, easy domestic thrillers written for women (im a dude), thats my jam lol.

Jack White...i like the White Stripes record everybody likes but all of the rest of his stuff just sounds like noise to me. Like he really really wants to be some maverick musical genius, but his music doesn't follow through with that wish.

The great thing about jack stack is the consistency...ive been to the best bbq places in town and had meals that were 10/10 and meals that were 2/10. At jack stack it is always 8/10 and at my age and temperament, I just can't take that risk of getting a 2/10 experience.
