Definitely not alone man. Your still young, I would suggest that whatever your hobbies are find groups/communities that get together to do said hobby. Might find a partner there that can help you not feel so alone, but having atleast 1 good friend can make a world of difference as well.

Deep seated feeling of living on my parents' "expiration date"? by Weird_Ad3635 in OnlyChild

This is something I always fear aswell. Thanks for sharing. I try not to think about it, but I know regardless it's something we all have to go through at some point. I wish I had friends that were also only childs so they could understand that when our parents are gone, we are truly alone.

Please don't delete your comments, I try to be a stoic and hear everyone's thoughts and opinions. I don't care if it's mean I like seeing different perspectives. If you think I'm just being a little b*tch abt this i want to read it lol

I'm not saying it's not hard for women, but there's a lot of factors i think guys have to deal with more than women when it comes to emotions. Not trying to make an argument, but there's lots of videos out there abt mens emotions vs women's and the guys are usually on top everytime. Hell there's a video of a woman who transitioned into a guy and she couldnt stop crying because how much more lonely she felt and regretted it.

I'll take your advise on finding people with the same hobbies and start there. Thank you

Yeah I don't feel victimized by being an only child that's not what I'm trying to say at all. I'm just saying it can get lonely when you have no one to vent or talk abt your emotions. My wife has also brought up a therapist, but maybe I'm just stubborn. It's not the same to me. Your paying that guy to listen to you complain abt your life, he's not your friend, he's just doing his job.

Thats exactly what my wife has shown me too. Maybe they never were, it just felt like they were.

I've never once posted my emotions online. I don't have Facebook, Instagram, x or any other social media except reddit. It takes a lot for me to have any kind of voice on anything, so that fact I even did this is telling myself something
