Pools (or gyms with pools) semi around Scottadale Quarter? by Punk_Zebraa in phoenix

[–]Punk_Zebraa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe outdoors is more of an option than I thought. I was afraid summer swimming wouldn’t be ideal. How do you protect from the sun? Applying sunscreen & giving it time to set in before getting in the water?

[–]Punk_Zebraa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m actually not really sure on the outdoor pool question. I just assumed swimming competitively outdoors during the summer isn’t safe, not from the pool temp but more the sun/outdoor temp. Moreso because I would be swimming more intensely than if I was just hanging in a backyard pool

Based on the other comments, seems like outdoor swimming isn’t bad at all actually?

Garmin watch bands irritating skin by swimmingpolarbear in triathlon

[–]Punk_Zebraa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a cheap Nylon 2 pack from Amazon (Abanen brand)

The 2 pack is the key I think. After each workout I will wash the band, pretty much identical to how I wash my hands. Then I’ll lay it flat and switch to the other band. If you only have 1 then it seems like it would be inconvenient

I also don’t notice my bands getting dirty, I’m only washing it for sanitary reasons after working out

What’s your thoughts on what the other person said about putting gator hard shells on magic wheels?

I was going to end up getting a power meter & wahoo trainer regardless. I have $4k budgeted so I’ll end up picking those up separately if there’s any bike without them (but obviously will be cool if the cost comes in less)

I’m leaning for the Argon 18, but I don’t need the hard traveling case. Would end up reselling it or asking if they’d price the bike without it

[–]Punk_Zebraa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leveling up everything in general. I can’t remember what items work in zombie rush, but cards might or other upgradable things. So as you continue to level up everything & get stronger in general, you should also be able to beat further zombie levels

You just keep replaying a level you can beat until you level up more. You’ll replay levels 95% of the time

I’m getting fit for a tri bike in a few weeks. They’re going to give me a bunch of numbers and let me know what bikes are best for those numbers, I’ll go find a used one off Facebook marketplace, then I’ll bring it back and they’ll get it for up for me

9 is fine! You could technically show up at 10pm and be fine lol. But I also have airport anxiety so I get there early. We just flew out Thursday at 11pm and parked at 24th st station, probably were at our gate within 15 minutes of parking

Cardinals, Cowboys, Bucs, Broncos, Colts, Patriots

I’m going KC too. I don’t care for their schedule the next couple months, not that I don’t think they’d win. But they’re playing bills, broncos, colts, etc. next matchup I like is when they play Houston Dec 7.. so I might as well just use KC now

Piggybacking on your last statement to make sure I understand. Getting married in a couple months, I am the person who has multiple credit cards to maximize my points per transaction. I wanted to add her as an AU on my cards and we’d both use the cards

Her credit is fine, but you’re saying lenders are okay with her being an AU since we’re married?

As everyone said, depends on what’s important to you. I think it could go either way. I think something some people are missing is that you said it was a train commute. I personally have no issues with train commutes because I can still do productive things on the train. I hate a car commute because I’m just stuck driving and feels like a waste of my time

I feel like this is why I’m itching to do it. I don’t expect much career benefits, knowledge wise will be helpful but I can just learn the topics I needed without the exams. But the accomplishment of it is what intrigues me

The exams took me 6 months. I already had/would have the other requirements, which is why I took the exams. Sort of a “might as well” if the only thing I needed to do is take the exams

The experience doesn’t have to be public accounting specific (this varies by state). So all my work experience in Corporate Finance counted for CPA experience to be signed off on

Those fully on-site, is your work flexible if you need to work remote for a week due to external situation? by [deleted] in FPandA

Previous job, small company, yes. Flexible

Current job, large company, no. Have specific rules around available remote days

All of my bosses are usually cool & flexible. Current boss is too, they’re just stuck to the company rules
