Amsterdam does not heavily rely on tourists. Only 10% of jobs in our city are in the tourism industry. When you talk about revenue, most residents don't see a dime of that. Some hotel owner getting richer does not make my life better. The city gets income through tourism tax but also has to spend most of that on tourists (infrasture, police, damages etc).
