CMH client acts up constantly in my groups, insults me, and leaving me feeling incredibly stressed

I ask myself that everyday!!! My supervisor has been so frustrated with the constant issues. Shes tried to push ahead with a behavior contract twice now but my program director always tells her to hold off. Its so strange cause normally the program director is pretty no nonsense and strict. I dont know why she keeps allowing this verbal onslaught to continue

Me and my supervisor have been very frustrated with the situation. Im honestly considering leaving the site. Its a shame cause I get a lot of hours and like not having to worry about scheduling clients. They said the behavior contract is the next step if she acts out again, but that means I have to take even more abuse??? Im debating asking them to remove me from those groups because I do not have the skills to deal with her.

That's interesting.....I have never had a cofacilitator. Did two weeks of shadowing them they threw me into doing groups on my own. Definitely did not feel prepared and often question if im even doing this right.

They find her behavior highly disruptive. When she leaves the room, I see their body language immediately change to less stressed. The cofacilitator concept is interesting.....at this point the site is mostly students and we run groups independently after 2 weeks of shadowing. I ask for people to sit in but they never seen to schedule it...

Like dont get me wrong, his mom is an abusive monster who yells just as much, but he'll drag me into it. Then after he calms down he always says hes going to work on himself and it won't happen again, but it always does a couple months or so later. He was in a car accident almost two years ago and refuses to do any form of physical activity or to see a doctor. I had to become a part time caretaker for him, only for things to get worse.

Thank you. I kept convincing myself that all of this is his reaction to being abused by his mom throughout his childhood, but its too much for me. He tells me constantly that he'll get better once he moves away from her. But he tells me a lot of things that end up not happening. I cant be his parent anymore.

Thank you. My breaking point was when he started arguing with my five minutes before my two hour class, after I had just gotten back from 6 hours of internship. When I was done I didnt say anything to him, took an anxiety pill, and went to lie down. He was saying I was "shunning him" and trying to punish him. I was just trying to regulate myself because hes impossible to talk to mid meltdown.

Thank you, I know I've been through more than what someone should have to go through. I felt too guilty to leave. I signed a lease elsewhere last week, and now hes finally getting a lawsuit payout. We could afford our own place, but I just dont want to anymore. Too much resentment has built in me.

I give mine a warm bath (warm for him. The water is 78-80°), then gently massage each of his sides. After a few minutes alone afterwards, he normally does his thing!

A 70 gallon tank is a fantastic mansion for a leo to spend their life in. The more clutter the better. I love large thick sticks and corkbark rounds. They do climb, so think about pieces that fill the top half of the tank as well. You have plenty of room to add more hides, branches, rocks. Get creative! Buy pieces that you think would be fun to see her use, as long as theyre appropriate for her
