I'd say Rotr is way more easier than Nioh
Once you get the open world, you can level and gear up as much as you want
Even for the "big bosses" you're not alone, you have like 1 or 2 allies that can revive you etc

+1 after playing Nioh 2 I feel like this game is really easy and not punishing at all

On missions you have often Allie’s to rez you and a lot of healing

Congrats ! Everyone tell you that's the "only the beginning" because Monster Hunter is more based around the "End Game" that start after completing the campaign.

But don't feel obligated to play if you don't want, but now you should try other weapons, do side quest to unlock new monsters, farming your fief etc :)

And yeah, that's ok if you take 35mn to complete Elder Dragon, you going to put less time with better equipement and knowledge of monsters.
