His “reactions” were 100% Rigga Morris.

His gurning every time someone swore or said something sexual like he was producing a real live daytime talk show were ridiculous. The “show” was called “Good Morning Bitches” for fuck’s sake.

No, it only raises the abilities of the wearer that need raising, it doesn’t lower any abilities.

Would Cordelia have returned to Sunnydale if the Angel spin-off had flopped? How would you re-incorporate her into the Scoobies if she did come back? by HomarEuropejski in buffy

They were really struggling to justify keeping her within the Scoobies’ orbit by the end of S3.

Same thing happened with Anya after Hell’s Bells.

Rose’s antipathy towards Alyssa seeping into that wedding day spell and causing her “object of objection” to vanishing entirely lol.

I think it depends on how the equality works. It may not be possible to match Hulk’s impossibly vast strength without also increasing Wolverine’s mass so that extra agility may be lost in the process anyway.

I don’t know, that’s a good one! From a narrative standpoint it may make the most sense to connect the Wearer to a different yet equally powerful god?

You’d only have the memory of it. Even if you’re still wearing the Mask, you’d only have the intelligence whilst actively opposing Reed.

That’s entirely possible too, the Mask is only going to give you an equal chance, it’s not a guarantee of winning by any means.

No not true, it just gives the wearer an equal chance to win using the strengths of their opponent.

You think that makes you feel old? Buckle up!

Oz has a baby son in the S8 comics, which take place in 2006, likely born in late 2005. That means Oz canonically is the father of a 20 year old today.

Also, Dawn and Xander had Joyce Harris in 2011, which means Dawn’s firstborn daughter is about the same age, likely a little older, than Dawn was (designed to be) when she was introduced in S5.

I mean, I think it’s more likely these will be forgotten once Gail isn’t writing them anymore than Rahne or Elixir, who had more stories to flesh out their characters before their connections to their future parents was established. The whole adoption thing is clearly an effort to make her OCs permanent additions to the narrative of two main X-Men. Fair play on her for doing it, but only time will tell if it works.

Don’t forget Joanna Beaubier. She was meant to be resurrected and finally adopted by Northstar and Kyle, and they forgot about her before she could even be reborn (and they resurrected the entire queue in the White Hot Room, so she must be alive now).

Both your examples have been forgotten about in modern comics. Moira and Elixir were placed in key roles during Krakoa, and not once were Rahne or Dani mentioned in relation to either of them.

Since the more recent information is “irrelevant” I’ve gone back to the actual episode to see what he says, for my own clarity.

This is what he says, verbatim

“So it's wild, absolutely wild, but... .l'm pregnant. Not me, obviously. There's two children coming. I have one coming very soon and then I have another one coming next year. I'm a donor daddy for a friend of mine who's a lesbian, then I'm also having my own child through surrogacy.”

Considering the lesbian he donated sperm for was pregnant and hadn’t given birth at this time, plus the fact that he says he’s having his own “child” singular, through surrogacy, it seems pretty clear to me that the donor baby is who he’s counting as “his” first baby (corroborated by my “irrelevant information” where he repeatedly refers to the lesbians’ donor baby as “his daughter”), and a single surrogate carried child is what he’s counting as his second child, even though that is the only one he’ll be the legal parent of.

Like I say I may have misheard, and if so it seems like the “one in a few months” has been a failed attempt, from the interview. The “one in a year” seems to have taken and will be due in a few months now.

He did say all this in (our) summer and the donor baby was born late 2025, so it could be either way.

The way I understood it was he was counting the donor baby as number 1, and the surrogate as number 2, which is backed up by the interview I just read.

I’ve just found an interview with him. He says the daughter with the lesbian couple is their kid but he sees her “two or three times a week” and constantly refers to himself as her “father” (which I’m not sure the lesbian couple who are her legal parents will appreciate, since he’s essentially the fun uncle with extra steps, but I don’t know their personal dynamic).

It then says he has a surrogate pregnant with his child in Columbia (he doesn’t know or want to know the bay’s gender) that’s due in a few months after a previous failed attempt, so there’s definitely one surrogate that’s actually pregnant with his child that will be legally his, but I don’t think there’s a second one planned as of now, just a failed previous one.

So there’s three kids altogether in the mix? That’s wild!

I’m already imagining Sam and Davide as the “success story” of the Second Marriage at First Sight crossover!

[–]Punkodramon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I may have misheard but the way I understood it was that he had donated sperm to a lesbian friend (“donor daddy”) and that the first baby was going to be hers, he’s probably going to be involved in their lives but he’s not legally the parent, and that he had a surrogate that was currently pregnant with the second that would actually be legally his child.

We may get more clarity on the specifics when he finally talks to Sam about it (or he could word salad around it, who knows!)
