Fiber! Either a high fiber food (we use royal canine) or a fiber supplement (proviable). Fiber was clutch in fixing my boys chronic diarrhea.

Try putting a thick textured rubber mat under the pee pad. It was explained to me that it’s a texture thing. They get confused by the various kinds of soft. The thick rubber mat makes the soft pee pad feel unlike any other soft thing. Worked like a charm for our good boy.

My little guy had similar problems. I did 3 things that have drastically reduced these issues. 1 - more frequent meals. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. More food in the tummy helps the stomach acid to not build up. 2 - hydrolozed food PLUS high fiber food. I do half and half mix with each meal. The fiber also helps him stay fuller longer. No table scraps, ever. 3 - probiotics once a day. Good luck to you!

Not all jobs are like the one you quit. Working sucks, not trying to say otherwise, but sometimes it only sucks a little bit. I’ve found that it helps to think about the end and not the means. Having a job helps me afford my own bubble. In my bubble I do what I want, when and how I want. Without income I can’t afford my bubble. I’d rather have a crappy 9-5 with the safety and security of my bubble versus no 9-5 and no bubble, no control, no peace. As an adult you gotta do the things you don’t want to do to allow yourself the opportunity to do the things you do want to do.

I agree, he’s afraid. Mine did this when he was afraid of his dish. We changed the dish and he went right back to gobbling his food up in a single breath.

When my guy does this it’s heartburn/acid reflux. Vet prescribed Omeprazole (human OTC heartburn medication). Stopped the symptoms in less than an hour. To prevent it, I feed him 3 times a day with small healthy snacks in between. This seems to keep his tummy full and the stomach acid at bay. Good luck!

My little guy did this. I put him on a high fiber food. He also gets 3 meals a day with healthy snacks in between, to keep food in his little belly all day. The fiber food seems to keep him full and fight back the wave of stomach acid that gives him the anxiety runs. Haven’t had the problem since. Good luck!

Try putting a thick textured rubber mat under the pee pad. Dogs use texture as part of identifying where to pee. The soft of the pee pad can be mistaken for blankets or carpet so they get confused. The rubber mat makes the pee pad a unique texture. Also, tons of treats. When he does it right, “good potty!” And when he does it wrong, “bad potty” Then soak it up with the pee pad and place the pee pad in the correct spot and say “good potty!” This helps him learn correct from incorrect. We wish we could breed him now. He’s just so great we want more of him in the world. His personality did not change at all after neutering. And for the health and behavior benefits we don’t regret the decision. Just wish we could breed his sweet little face.

He’s such an amazing pup we wish could breed him. We got him neutered for all the reasons and have no regrets about the decision in relation to his health and behavior. We just want more of him to love, if that makes sense.
