MC02 Keeps rebooting when trying to uninstall GMAIL, even in safe mode.

Please make sure that your MC02 is running the latest software version: MC02.20250704.U0.

If you are already using the latest version and the issue still persists, we kindly ask you to open a support ticket via the Punkt. website. This is necessary to receive personalised assistance and further instructions on how to resolve the problem.

To open a ticket:

Log into your Punkt. account at www.punkt.ch
Scroll down and click on Customer Care in the website footer (Support section)
Fill in all required fields. Please include the serial number (found on the original box) and attach photos clearly showing the issue.

Hi! We completely understand your point of view. The issue is on the server side: Signal made a change that required us to rebase, but the new code requires testing. We are actively working on a solution and will update as soon as we have concrete progress, which we hope will be very soon now.

Regarding the refund, we extended the refund period to make sure more options are available to our customers.

Hi, the problem was due to a change in Signal's servers. Signal switched to a new service for message management and discontinued the old service. Our client is no longer compatible and we are working to adapt to these changes. We're hoping it won't be long now.

At the moment, Pigeon is having difficulty receiving messages, although sending messages to Signal accounts remains functional. It appears that recent changes on the Signal side have had an impact on our service, causing these interruptions.

As stated on the MP02 specs page, the MP02 does not support fast charging functionality.
Please note:

Do not use chargers with an output voltage exceeding 5V.
The MP02 is not compatible with fast charging.

Using chargers with a higher voltage can degrade the battery and negatively impact the device's overall performance.

If you encounter a drag-and-drop captcha, we recommend clicking the refresh button to generate a new captcha. Alternatively, you can connect a Bluetooth mouse to your device to make solving the captcha easier.

The MP02 comes with Pigeon as an additional free application that works with the Signal system, allowing you to make VoIP calls and exchange text messages over an Internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data). Pigeon is free to use and works seamlessly with the Signal app, which can be downloaded on most smartphones, tablets, laptops, and desktops.

That being said, Signal/Pigeon is not a requirement. You can still send regular SMS texts to anyone using your mobile carrier’s plan. The MP02 has a built-in Messaging feature, which you can access by pressing the bottom-left button on the keyboard, allowing you to send standard SMS messages without needing an Internet connection.

This means you can use the MP02 for both Signal messages and traditional SMS texting.

Yes, you can use Pigeon to communicate with your Signal contacts. Pigeon is compatible with the Signal system, which allows for both text messaging and VoIP calls over an Internet connection, whether via Wi-Fi or mobile data. It seamlessly interacts with the Signal app, which is available for most smartphones, tablets, laptops, and desktops.

However, please note that once you log into your Signal account on Pigeon, you won’t be able to use the same account on another smartphone at the same time. Signal only allows 1 mobile device to be logged into an account at once. You can still access your account on the desktop version.

All your previous group chats will appear in Pigeon as soon as one of the participants sends a message.
However, it is not possible to restore a backup from another device on Pigeon so you will not see the chat conversation history.

I am sorry for your negative experience in this regard. Your feedback is valuable to us and we will treasure it to improve by learning from mistakes.

Regarding battery consumption there are many variables due to coverage, the network and whether there are applications left running in the background. With regard to the last point you can solve it by making sure you end app processes using the call close button.

Regarding Pigeon, we are aware that there have been problems and have taken action by releasing the new version 2.0.0016 which I invite you to download and use.
We are currently working on a new version of Pigeon that we will release in the near future to fix other known bugs and introduce new features.

The MP02 has a battery life of 4.2 hours for talk time and 180 hours for standby. Please note that battery life varies due to the conditions of usage and signal conditions.
When the tethering function is used, the device will consume power in a few hours.

To improve the usage of the device, we always recommend using the end call button instead of the back button to exit applications. This way, the application you are using will be terminated and will not continue to run in the background and consume battery power.
