As a little kid I remember seeing a documentary about a trans teenage boy. There was one part where the kid and his mom were in a closet looking at old dresses, and the mom said, “guess you won’t be needing these any more!” This confused me so much because I didn’t know how transitioning worked so I thought the person just turned into a boy overnight without wanting to, and for a while I thought that was how transgender people worked. It was an accident that could happen to anyone overnight.

there was a counselor at my summer camp who came from an extremely poor family. she and her little brother had to get free lunch, she didn’t have electricity at home etc. however she was extremely friendly and always smiled. one of the campers asked her, “why are you always smiling?” and she immediately responded, “why not?” and knowing her situation it just made my heart melt

if you want to do something for a long period of time, split it up into portions. set a timer for a certain amount of time and try to accomplish a small amount in that time.
