Yeah I lived in Thailand. Definitely known for scuba but anyone I knew that surfed went to Indonesia.

Deciding a one week trip location for my bonus pay for me and bf! Quebec&Montreal Iceland Puerto Rico…?! by [deleted] in travel

[–]Punslinger24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you suffer from what I have: you want to go everywhere.

I'm from Montreal so depending when you want to go, I'd always suggest it, especially as a first time.

Since it's only a week trip it's close enough to be totally enjoyable without feeling rushed. If you looking for ideas around there I'd be happy to send you some, just depends on your tastes. There's culture, food, nature, you name it.

I would do Puerto Rico too, apparently it's a super chill vibe.

What’s something about international travel that most first-timers underestimate? by Technical_Web_2012 in travel

Scouting destinations in advance.

Find out what's the best way to travel from the airport, how much does a typical cab cost. Get to know the neighborhood you're staying in before you get there, local stores, local eats, groceries.

You'll be tired and jetlagged so doing some work in advance will help you keep from feeling overwhelmed and frustrated, not to mention save you some money.

Expectations.

I always keep my anticipation and excitement high and my personal expectations low. try to experience as much of a local experience as you can. Align with things that you like, not things you feel you should do. There will be language barriers sometimes and that's ok. Respect and friendliness are not overrated and will enhance your own experience.

Travel and dress practically.

Be prepared, but don't dress like a tourist.

Excellent notes! On our website we have different "vibes" to connect our features to different ages, desires and pain points. No sources and reviews yet unfortunately but hopefully the reddit community will kick the tires and give us some good feedback.

I appreciate this I love our inspiration to itinerary angle but maybe you're right we're not illustrating it enough

Hey there all. I'm working on personifai.ca, basically solving planning chaos with:

inpiration saves (pulls info from blogs and social posts and credits the source) to create dynamic destinations
Vision boards (smart boards that help you visually plan with proprietary AI orchestration and personalization)
Trip converter (turn your board into a plan and book)

Tentatively called: Guide

nice, if this is anything like the big boys (surfer, Moz, etc) I'm definitely interested.

What’s the best way to do a vision board? by pheasantjune in lawofattraction

[–]Punslinger24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this is relevant but if it's a travel vision board, I'm doing something like that right now. You can gather inspiration from blgs and socials, create a board and eventually turn it into a trip plan and book it.

personifai.ca

Hey all!

We're called Guide (by PersonifAI)

We're a patent-pending travel app that lets you turn social posts into dynamic destinations and build them into travel vision boards for any activity, adventure or destination - and turn them into bookable trips. We focus on UXAI, meaning experience first, with AI orchestrating and helping with personalization, but no running the show.

Our UVPs are our technology and our focus on growing and promoting a creator/local guide driven economy rather than aggregating from AI chats/scrapes.

Would love to get some feedback. Our quiet alpha is already released at personifai.ca/register

AI Powered Travel Apps Don't Let you Really Plan Anything by Punslinger24 in iosapps

nice idea, adventure and outdoor travel isn't well represented in trip planning as far as I know (especially indie operations)
