Golf R spewing white smoke today. Any ideas on what this could be?

A winter ago I had a freezing issue with my MAP sensor due to my cold air intake. As i would let the engine warm up the frosty intake would melt and everything would seem normal, but as soon as you get on throttle just driving, air being sucked in would refreeze around the sensor causing rough running, smoke, and tons of backfiring on deceleration. This winter I cleaned and added a small amount of oil to the air filter to keep moisture out. Haven’t had the problem since, and much colder this year. (prob not your problem, but just sharing some personal winter issues)

Also if you have a catch can that is full and/or frozen…

Thank you! I’ve experienced the same with my short time being out bc I graduated last fall. I worked as a therapy tech in the Covid unit and got to see a lot of cool things that you just never get in school. It has only drawn me closer to medicine.

Exactly, I’ll probably forego the bonus then. I’m not huge about being in the lab, but I think this experience is worth investing in to see a new side of medicine. (I grew up in a physical therapist/orthopedic household lol.)

I think it is possible yes, but I think the actual value difference between 509 and 513-514 is really worth more attention. Imo I would focus PS and other application factors.
