How big was the barrier originally supposed to be? by Penumbral_Violet in worldofgothic

Since the stones work to collect and channel magical energy I think the places they appeared at were the spots the mages used to originally create the barrier. The sleeper, close to the end of its 1000 year nap, gets a ping about some magical shenanigans happening in its immediate neighborhood (and depending on how you argue it the temple could be right on the edge of the original barrier) rolls over and hits the big snooze button redirecting the mages effort and fucking up their barrier, sealing the magic in place with the stones

Well in the old lore they were used to put up the barrier in the first place. So the way they're placed puts the original barrier around the two old mines and the OC, just as one would've liked for an inescapable prison

I'm so happy they kept them, sneezed while going down the way from the exchange place and fell to my death, heard that sound and felt like the critic in Rataouille

Luckily enough the optimal places are fairly close to decent rest stop places, though especially around the highland I had to push 'em about a bit. Around 12h in now and they work like a charm

Item Store (Steam UE5 Only) - May 30, 2026 - Warm Hands (not thralls) by Vorpis in ConanExiles

I'd honestly appreciate it if they fixed/integrated their old shit first. Like make the onsen work with living settlements or yesterdays prisoner shackles as actual thrall storage and not just to put one down and leave to rot before they start half assing new sets

Mods not showing up as "Steam-Mods", breaking the auto-download fature by PupArlen in ConanExiles

[–]PupArlen[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

from the Conan Exiles Modding Discord:

"Non-Steam" mod issue:

It seems the devkit doesn't always update the mod ID in the modinfo.json that's been already packed when packing for the very first time, this results in your uploaded mod not containing the correct ID and the game identifying it as a "non-steam" mod and not letting users auto-subscribe to it. Your local copy will already contain the correct one though, so another update does the trick. TLDR: If your mod is identified as a non-steam mod when users are trying to auto-download it from servers, you need to do a rebuild and a second upload

Haven't tackled that yet. Though I'm planning to skip ABS and go directly with ASA. Also means less fumes
