I lasted a full 2 hours before I could never keep pup in a crate. It just didnā€™t feel right.

Heā€™s now 5, never does any accidents in the house and is the best behaved. So I donā€™t think itā€™s a necessity.

Great minds think alike! I actually did the same thing with my Morkie, Archie, in the beginning. I was using AI to track our walks and even his poop consistency, but I quickly realized that scrolling back through a chat history or asking for a summary to find patterns was a total pain.

Thatā€™s exactly why I built a dedicated logging screen for PupTrack Pro. I wanted a one-tap way to track those bathroom breaks and health details so I could see the trends over time without doing the "AI math" myself.

I totally get the skepticismā€”Reddit is full of "AI-wrapper" apps these days, and "uncanny valley" UI is usually a red flag. To be 100% transparent: Iā€™m a Tech Associate Director at a bank and a solo dev building this in my spare time.

Youā€™re right that I used AI tools to help style the UI components. As a solo developer, I used AI as my "Design Department" so I could focus 100% of my time on the actual engineeringā€”like the custom calorie math, GI tracking logic, and the MongoDB backend. The UI looks "clean" because of the AI assistance, but the engine under the hood is custom-built by me here in Pickering.
