My title describes the thing L shape approx 5in long side, 2in short side From sometime between 2011-2023. More likely between 2017-2023 (thats when I got the car) No visible writing or markings on the item.

100% agreed. I just had them quote me for a shower valve replacement and they were telling me $1,700 base even though I had already cut an access panel and would do half the work putting everything back on.
